I had a similar item that was probably part of her household for about 4 years and it worked very very well and this one seems very similar but maybe just a little bit lighter which is even better. I did learn by reading the brochure that came with this one that you can't overcharge them You charge them just into the light changes and then they're ready to go I think leaving my other one plugged in for several days was what did it in by my own actions but I'm very happy with this one and it works very well and I would highly recommend it comes with a nice set of gloves too that actually help your fingers with what I would call friction and being able to grip just a little bit tighter than you might be able to otherwise but it was highly worth what I paid for it.
this cordless grass/limb cutter is really awesome and much better than I thought it would be!! it has good power and cuts small limbs and grass really well. its pretty simple to use and not too heavy for my arthritis.
I received mine today and was excited to try it out on my overgrown bushes. it got the job done and I'm very happy with this purchase. now I can start cleaning up a yard a little better.
It is small do not use this for edging. I use it to remove grass from the base of certain plants. If I were to buy another I would purchase one where you don't have to get down on your knees however the sale price is a price you cannot beat and is worth the purchase.
I would definitely recommend this product. As a woman in her late 50s with two carpal tunnel surgeries, this product is pretty easy to use. I could not start a landscaping business with this trimmer, but I used it for what it's intended for and it definitely got the job done.
But, I can only use the small blade as it (the small blade is not coming out of the cordless shear. I tried several times to pull it out so I can charge and use the longer one for plants.. i like the way the shears work, so there's almost 100% safety. Please help- I need to use the long blade too..the main purpose of purchasing this was to trim long stems and shape some bushes…...
Someone posted info that they charged theirs overnight. It is very bad to overcharge lithium batteries! It only took about 2 hr for mine to charge. I was challenged by replacing the grass shear with the hedge trimmer but FINALLY managed it on my own. I'm glad for the extra safety feature (thumb button) on the top as I could easily have been injured when cleaning the blades if it weren't for that. For me (with my small hands), it worked best for me to hold the thumb button with my left hand and use my right to activate the blades. I trimmed my two rosemary bushes in half the time it would take to trim with hand clippers! They came out nice. Difficulty with rosemary is that it leaves a sticky residue on whatever is used to cut it. I did the best I could to remove the residue from the trimmer using 3 in 1 oil.
This works ok but I wish the blade was a little longer and had enough power to go thru the branches better. I just moved into a new place and the bushes hadn't been trimmed in a while. It needed done very badly so I bought this while crossing my fingers it worked great. Lets just say if all you have to cut thru are the leaves and dont run into any branches it works well but if you run into any branches thicker than a couple of centimeters it will get stuck in them and you have to wrestld it out. ALSO the double button push was EXTREMELY hard on my fingers. I had to keep switching hands to get the job done because my fingers were wearing out. I think the double button safety feature is a little much. Push one button in and have it stay, then use the other button to be the failsafe in case of emergency. That would be enough for this tool I think. It really cant cut thru anything to thick.
For what its purpose is, it is good. Small bushes and grass edger. But it's a pain to keep going. You have to push up a thumb button and then squeeze the handle to get it to go. And hold both. My 6'3” son even said it was a pain. It's so tight you can't get very far before your thumb gives out. And I was even using 2 hands. But it's a cheap fix and I will only use it once a year
It doesn't work for me I put it to charge and try to use it it started working for less than five minutes and stop. So I put it back to charge overnight and in the morning try to use it it never works again for me and it doesn't come with a return label or anything else so I can take it back to Walmart
