I bought this computer for my wife. She does simple stuff like emails, games, letters, surfing the web, etc. It's great. It set up easily and all of her data transferred in as if it was always there. It does everything that she needs to do. I highly recommend this computer.

For a person like me who plays no games and doesn't watch movie-length videos online, this is a wonderful bargain of a laptop computer. Does everything I need. I would recommend to any purchaser to get yourself out of Window 10 S right away unless you want to be limited to using only microsoft apps. Ignore the dire warning and convert to standard windows 10. It's not hard; then you can use any broswer and apps.

This laptop boots up quickly and opens programs, even laden with add-ins, very fast. Setup was easy and quick. Nice, wide screen with easily adjustable brightness. Thin and lightweight. Very stylish too. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that the keyboard and clicking are a little noisy compared to my previous laptops.

It's a very good product for the money. The only problem that I had with it is that it wouldn't run Zoom using the Windows S operating system. In order to run it, I had to exit the S, and run regular Windows 10, which fortunately was not hard to do. Only has a 128 SSD, (solid state hard drive) which does limit what you can store. But all that said, it works great!

This DOES NOT have a fingerprint scanner as described. I was really excited to have it since my old computer had one and found it to be such a convience. There is a disclaimer (in fine print) stating what is offered might be different than the product you get but you don't know until you have already purchased it. Thats Crap! Since I just got it, I'll update the list of other things that was advertised and not included.

The laptop itself is nice. It does heat up pretty bad when gaming, but that's to be expected with a cheaper laptop that's not made specifically for gaming. My issue is the charger. If you need to replace the charger, don't go to Gateway support. There's literally no way to order online and it's awful. I ended up buying a type c cable at the right watt then an adapter piece because they make their charging ports at a weird size that doesn't match any laptop charger. (it's a 3.5mm*1.35mm) You're best off doing like I did and finding a charger with a different tip, but right wattage and getting an adapter to the right size.

I've had this gateway 4gb 128 Ryzen 3 for a day and I think I'll keep it but I'm not sure yet. Had no issues with setup but I couldn't get it to consistently stay out of S mode (S mode means you can only download apps from the Microsoft store). I had to search for a fix online—which has worked so far. The touchpad is not good. Cursor is pretty random as to where it lands and if it touches the wrong thing it opens and closes tabs, windows, etc. I need to edit images and it's a chore with the touchpad. I hooked up a mouse and that seems to have solved the issue. Have to hold the power button for an inordinate amount of time to get the thing to turn on. And so far I can't get it to wake up when the lid opens even though I've fiddled with the power settings. that might be a Microsoft issue. Screen seems great, sound is fine. I picked this thing up for $200 and it should be a no brainer at that price. But the jury's still out.

Price and size decent specs. But it just went blank one day and that was the end of it. Had no luck with gateway warranty. I will not buy another gateway product. We had 2 gateway computers and both did same thing.

Does not have a disk drive, and not having much storage space is a disadvantage. The setup is terribly invasive, and disabling S mode—so you can do anything—required turning on narrator, as the windows were blank. The thing runs hot, and slow. I can't tell you much else, as the blank windows make it challenging to use. I'll try and run something, but I greatly dislike this expensive paperweight.

This purchase was for a light-use computer. I believed gateway was a good brand. However, after only seven months of use, it died. One evening, one of the alphabet keys did not respond. The next morning, it would not even power up. No matter what we did, the computer would not boot up. We took it to our local computer repairman, whom we have known for 10 years and who can fix anything. But this computer could not be repaired, it was permanently dead. After only seven months of use.
