GE 14404 Polarized Grounding Adapter Plug, 2 Pk

Heavy duty grounding 3 prong adapter, a money saver. PLEASE NOTE: I am not an electrician. I am restoring a 1950s home. It doesn't have 3 grounded plugs throughout the home. Previous owners did a plug change but did not ground the few they installed. These heavy-duty adapters did the work. The metal prongs have a hole that allows the outlet to screw onto metal for grounding. I have used the heavy-duty for thicker extension cords. Then, they also make a regular cord outlet. These have appeared to ground the wiring until I get it professionally rewired. Love my older home, anything that helps me extend my budget.

I use them every day. They work and make all the difference in my apartment.

Functionally, these adapters are excellent! Nice and snug fitting without being too tight, or too loose, like some others. My only complaint is that although the GE model number is the same, it's not the model that's pictured, which has a nicer design, visually. But they work great!

These things come in so handy when you have a deep set electric blower. Just to add 2 cords together when you only need a long one once a Year. I love them. Also they ground extension cords inside the house.
