GE 250W BR40 Incandescent Heat Lamp Bulb with E-26 Medium Base

I use it to maintain a warm area in the chicken coop in the winter time for the chickens and this one is very very nice. I mean it works and it does what it says it does that makes it a five star in my book

worked well. Used for some baby chicks we got. had them in a cardboard box with an open lid and kept the temp at about 90 degrees after a few weeks we turned it off because it was keeping it too warm for the chicks. but kept them warm for the critical 1st few weeks.

im using to help heat up a out soor building that the stray cats go into for shelter from rain or cold and i have the light plugged into a clip lamp like you would use for automotive, i have it hanging from a rafter pointing down and it is making it hot enough that condensation is on the glass . so the animals are happy and warm ..

Just bought yesterday for my well cover but it throws the heat for sure. I expect my well house to be very warm with it in an extremely cold winter storm. Use a quality properly rated lamp. If it plays out before expected I will re rate it.

I purchased 2 of these the first one didn't light up at all and the second one lasted less than 12 hrs. An absolute waste of time and money. Run, don't walk away from these!!!!! Walmart should be ashamed for selling defective items, especially when actual lives are dependent on them to work. When was the last company wide quality control audit? You should take care to remember that as a retail company your existence is dependent on your customers, while your customers have numerous options available and not solely dependent on your company.

put this in a pump house. no electric on except heat bulb. House has everything off. All plugs didconnected inluding refrigerator. house had been winterized. prior to putting this heat bulb in electric bill was less than $10 / mo. with heat bulb on power bill is $65 a month. We will not be using these bulbs again.

Per my order, this was supposed to have been a multi pack two bulbs and what was delivered I now have to actually go to the store and purchase the second one as this was supposed to been a multi pack two bulb not a single bulb
