GE Incandescent Light Bulbs, 100 Watt, G40 Globe Bulbs, Medium Base

I've bought 3 of these bulbs over the years %26 I love them. Great lighting over our dining table %26 they last a long while. Much better than a regular light bulb in appearance %26 value.

I've been searching for 100-watt incandescent bulbs ever since I heard they were being phased out. LEDs just don't provide the same amount of light, and I find the quality unpleasant. Plus, my garage door opener won't even accept them. Starting my search a bit late, I noticed that prices for the remaining incandescent stock have already gone up. So, when I found these bulbs at a more reasonable price, I decided to give them a try. The description mentioned "vanity bulbs," so I assumed they would still fit in standard lamps. However, I was surprised by how large they actually are! They didn't fit in any of my lamps, but they work perfectly in my garage. In fact, they almost look like their own light fixture! These bulbs would also be great for closets or any socket without size restrictions. Overall, I'm pleased with how they turned out.

Worked perfectly for where I needed it!

I really wanted 60W for my pool table fixture, but the 100 w works great for my dining table light. I will eventually get the LED replacements, but these last quite a while with my usage.

If only there was a way to tell what size (sm, med, or Lg) the bulb was. Right wattage, but too big of a bulb

We usually buy this bulb as a replacement. This time it went out within a few weeks. May have been defective.

Bulb did not light. it must have been blown because there was no damage. Too much trouble to return. Even though it was delivered in a Walmart bag from the store, I had to use FedEx for returns. There are none local for dropoff, and I would have to pack it up in a box and print a label then FedEx would pick it up. Ridiculous!

Bought 3. One broke when installing with minimum pressure. The 2nd broke after it was installed. Nothing next to it and it dropped (glass separated from metal screw end) and shattered on the floor. I removed the 3rd one in fear of it also breaking. $30 dollars down the drain. Last time buying lightbulbs from Walmart.

I just got this bulb a month ago and it has already burnt out.
