It pairs wonderfully with my phone! The cync app is easy to install %26 I had to download the alexa app due to me not having any alexa product! But it works wonderfully on my phone with voice control! Considering buying an echo dot %26 more of these bulbs! Ease of use is phenomenal

i love these bulbs every fixture and lamp in my house have these some of the bulbs i've had for 5 years without replacing them. they aren't harsh on the eyes and easy to operate. when they first came out you could get a 2 pack for under $15 but it seems like there $15 for just one now that's my only complaint

The C by GE Soft White Smart Bulb is equivalent to a 60W Replacement. This smart bulb is great! I use it in a lamp in my bedroom to help me see during the day and night. I only have one window in my bedroom so most of the time it is quite dark in there. I can use my phone to turn the lamp on while walking down the hall. This smart bulb uses a Google Home device or you can use the C by GE app on your smart phone. If you have a Google home device, use the Google home app to set it up. I used the C by GE app as I do not have a Google Home device. I did try to see if it would pair up with my Echo Dot but I could not get it to work that way. The app is very simple to use. To set it up, just download the C by GE app onto your smart phone and follow the instructions. You will need to turn on your bluetooth so you can pair your phone with the light bulb and use it. After that it is pretty self explanatory. With a touch of the button on the app, I can turn the light on and off. My lamp is across the room so I don't have to get up out of bed to turn it on or off. The light is a warm light and it is bright enough for a small room and it is made from a plastic material on the top and the bottom of the bulb towards the base feels like plastic and it gets rather hot. You can label each bulb and it's location on your app so it's easy to know which bulb you are turning on or off if you have additional bulbs. This light bulb is dimmable so if you have a dimmer, this is compatible. You can adjust the brightness on your google home device. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I do plan to purchase additional bulbs for my house.

I received the GW brand A19 smart bulb. This is the first smart bulb I have ever owned and I love it! It makes me want to have more of them through out my house. For some context, I do not have any type of google assistant product and I was interested to see how It worked without it. I downloaded the C by GE app on my phone and you can connect this light bulb with that app to your phone without the google app or google assitant. By using the app you can turn it off and on with your phone and also set up timers for it to automatically come on each day. You can also dim the bulb via the app. I was hoping you could turn it off and on away from home but you cant. I think you must have the true goggle or amazon systems to utilize that feature because when I was away from home it never connects to the bulb. I am seriously considering getting the Google starter kit that will allow me to use the voice assistant. All around this bulb is a great price considering it is a smart bulb and I like the features it allows even without the full system. I like that this bulb is also the long lasting kind, it is very bright and I now want to start putting these bulbs all over my house. These bulbs really are superior!

I so wanted to give this 5 stars, but two things kept me from it. It's a dimmable, direct bluetooth controlled, standard socket, standard size light bulb! That's perfect, right? Well, first of all, what's the deal with no instruction manual? Sure it's dimmable, but not from the app main controls. You have to set up a room scene to control dimming. An instruction manual would have told me that, but I had to just figure it out! But the killer on the fifth star is that you have to have a separate app to do the voice commands. Come on, you already have your own app, why do you have to have a Google home device to control this? How hard is it to build that function into your app? And why is it restricted to just that? With so many people on Apple products you can't get Siri to work? What about Alexa? Or any of the other home control devices? Huge market share you won't be able to tap into because of these limitations. Such a great build and design but restricted down to a single supporting device.

Receiving this product had me so excited!!!! BUT, the setup process was a bit confusing and I ultimately ended up called the number listed on the box to get more help. First, if you don't already own a Google Home product, you have to download the C by GE app, instead of the Google Home app. The instructions were easy to follow, but my app just wouldn't connect to the bulb. I ended up calling customer service and the gentleman I spoke to informed me that turn knob lights commonly have this problem. He said it is recommended the bulbs be in flip switch lights, at least for the set up process. I was ultimately able to hook up the light and can control the on/off and dimness. You can also set up a time for the light to turn on and off and at what brightness if you want to have it turn on automatically. I asked a lot of questions about this bulb since I had a customer service rep on the line. I am interested in getting a light for outside. He told me that this type of bulb IS NOT recommended in a light fixture that will be completely enclosed, or even remotely exposed to outside elements. I am taking this to include using the bulb in a overhead light fixture that is completely enclosed, even when indoors.

The GE Cync ap does not function with Amazon Alexa comparable to Alexa's functionality with Philip's WiZ ap. Cync was an incredibly frustrating piece of software that would get stuck in loops without explanation. Bulbs themselves were physically built well and bright or dim as described. Using WiZ an hour after trying to get Cync to work was a good experience. Perhaps Cync has some limitations it needs published better; normal people do not know about these if they exist.

Altbough this is a nice looking light bulb, it did not work for us. Our Google Home was not able to find it and connect to it no matter which troubleshooting suggestions we followed. Other than that, this light bulb makes pretty yellowish light. And will last for many years to come.

these lightbulbs only work on the c and ge app. I cant get these to work with my google voice assistant no matter what I do. Ive watched YouTube videos and nothing has been helpful. these for me were a waste of my money. and they were a Christmas present for my husband.
