Long ago, we referred to this kind of bulb as "having a photocell". For me they were usually glitchy, didn't always work, or flickered on and off. THESE are much better. They actually work! The sensor appears to be inside the base of the bulb, with two small windows to let light in from two sides. I think that's what makes it work better. I like the color of the light. Most of all, that it actually works like I'd expect.

Work perfectly and so convenient to use. So many times the lights were left on until late mornings, no longer a concern.

I needed a new light for my yard lamp and I thought this was a great idea. My light pole was equipped with a photocell to automatically turn the light on and off. However the photocell failed and I had to switch the light on manually. This simple bulb eliminated the need for that. So pleased 😃

So far so good on this light bulb. I was concerned that this dusk / dawn light bulb would not work in a frosted shaded light globe but it does. It also goes on and off at the right time for each function and doesn't come on too quick or shut off too soon. Now I just hope it lasts but time will tell

i bought 2. one did not work, returned it, bought another one, it ended up being yellow, it was in wrong pkg. overall, i think they will be great. im not sure why they are solar powered but yet i must keep my electric switch on. to me that is using power?

The house we live in was built terribly and has a light switch that not only powers our backyard lights, but the office inside as well. So, in order to have light indoors, our outdoor lights had to remain on. This was a godsend to find! Now we don't have to worry about powering our outdoor lights during the daytime and wasting money.

These were a great value and just what I needed for our front porch lights. We had new fixtures installed because our 2 year old LED fixtures with integrated light panels died on us. These bulbs should do the trick without us needing to change out a whole fixture. The light is great and very bright.
