GE Specialty LED Light Bulb, 40 Watts, Daylight, A15 Appliance Bulb, Medium Base, Clear Finish

My refrigerator is old. The lightbulb went out and it was size E16 S. I could not find that size anywhere. So I decided to try this size A15 on the chance it would fit. It had the same watts. The measurements were close.. It FITS! My refrigerator needs cleaned out and I did not want to do that without a light. It's nice clean light- very bright Price was a bit high so I hope it lasts a long time.

This was delivered really fast—the next day. I had no trouble putting it in my refrigerator. The light is bright and clear. The package says it will last 13.7 years if I use it 3 hours a day. I don't open my refrigerator anything like that often, so I regard this as a lifetime guarantee!

New bulb works great, nice and bright. Hardest part about replacing bulb was removing the cover plate. I almost just left it off after replacing the bulb.

It's a light bulb that does it's job in the stove hood. The big difference between it and the old bulb is that this one emanates bright white light while the old one was yellowish.

My fridge light burned out and this expensive one was the only one in stock. Well, let me tell you, it just about blinded me when I opened my fridge! The brightness is unreal. I see things in my fridge now that I never knew existed.

A little on the pricey side but worth it. I like the way the light is tinted, soft on the eyes, homey. Not glarey and cheap like some of the overhead stove lights that have that ugly yellow glaring light.

I have been using this bulb for w few months. Still going strong. The last brand burned out in 2 months after having a "long life guarantee" This one has been used for almost 4 month so far. And it was cheaper than the other. Can't complain there.

The lamp is clear . It will make your refigerator think its daylight. I was surprised at how bright it was . i will consider a frosted lamp next time.

LED bulbs should not be used in high heat. They melt in an electric oven when self-clean is used and otherwise. There should be a warning with the product. Mine was completely incinerated. This item was recommended for a Whirlpool electric range oven.

Sort of my fault, but I expect more from GE and Walmart. I don't see anywhere on the Walmart or GE website that it is not for ovens or dryers. Only warning is on the photo of the box itself, which I didn't look closely at on the Walmart website. I assumed an "appliance bulb" would work just as they always do and don't typically read bulb boxes (but will now). Melted in my oven, house still smells horrible after three days. I had to turn off the breaker and remove the melted base from the socket with pliers. Wrote politely to GE and what I got back was: "Since our package is clearly marked "Not for use in ovens or dryers", we cannot offer any warranty replacement for this bulb. However, I'm sure the manufacturer of your oven can tell you how to remove that melted plastic from your appliance - we recommend contacting them.". From the limited reviews on this site, it is clear that others have done the same. This could all be avoided by some clear text on the website saying "Not for ovens or dryers", not just what is on the photo of the box (which people who need digital accessibility would not be able to read/hear).
