Don't buy anything else for your chicken coop!
This receptacle outlet is PERFECT for the three heat lamps I have suspended in my chicken coop. I especially appreciate that the prongs of the heat lamps fit cleanly into the sockets. I mean, that there is no struggle to either plug them in or to unplug them.

Safe to replace old outlets
Easier to change out old plugins for new, the plugins keep ahold of what's plugged in. Haven't tripped any breakers. Feel safer

Not melting so far
My old outlet was 15AMP and melted when my 10,000 BTU air con was plugged into it. I wanted a higher AMP outlet but this 20 AMP seems to be the limit. It only has air conditioner plugged into it and so far it's holding up.
