After years of service, I broke my first Genesis clip-on fan so I ordered another one. I clip it onto my bed frame for cool, comfortable sleeping. The two-speed fan makes a soft whirring sound which also aids in a restful night. I often use the fan to dry articles of clothing that I don't want to put in the dryer.
I like the height of my Genesis fan. It sits higher off of the table compared to other fans I have purchased. (I know because I have purchased 3 other desk fans from 3 different companies over the past few years.) Also it is the only that I have purchased that has the "clip", that can be used to position the fan in countless different ways other than on a desktop.
Nice looking fan out of the box. My daughter took to camp so not sure how well it will hold up. While trying to clip it to her bunk and plug in, the edges on the back seemed to be coming apart already, but I was able to push edges back together. Hopefully this will not cause an issue in the future. Thanks.
UL Listed AC Electric Motor w/ 5ft 4" sturdy power cord w/ built-in fuse. I bought the fan because it was electric, had a clip option, well rated, and reasonably priced. I just received it and am satisfied with the quality and function. I will post pictures of fan and instructions. 4 stars on noise level, a bit louder than I would like on Hi setting (Hi/Off/Lo), but all in all a good buy.
My only wish is that this have 3 speeds, high, medium, and low otherwise it is an excellent fan. I want it blowing right on my head as that is where I get so hot and it only has high and medium. I have to place in on my iron posts on my bed further away because of that. I am glad I did find this fan and I cannot find a clip on small 3 speed fan anywhere.
I use this fan in my dorm after my other one broke after a year. I just clip it to one of the posts on my dorm bed and it works great. Some nights I have to turn it off because it makes me too cold (always a plus)! The fan speed is great for hot sleepers like me.
Cons: The screw apparatus to mount the fanhead on the base is very poorly designed; the nut is deep down inside the plastic part of the base, so I had to use my fingernail to try to tighten it (no tools would fit). Even after a few tries tightening it, the fan head still droops at times. Clip is overly tight and has an excessively small range of places on which it will clip. Pros: It is as quiet as advertised, really good for close office spaces. The fan also moves a good amount of air which is nice because I am a guy that very easily overheats. Overall, not too bad for less than $20.
Nice quiet fan. Choice of 2 stands - desk top or clip on. Needs better foot anchors for desk top option in case of possible movement or surface marks. I have mine on a cloth covered nightstand table, and sits well on it. Like the options. The other one is clipped on the headboard, and no vibration noise. Glad we purchased 2 - reasonable enough - and have one in each bedroom. LIKE !
This fan is not worth the purchase. With it sitting right at my head I am unable to feel the air from it. Don't waste your money
so is a good concept the clipping of the fan on something but it the fan does not blow hard enough to even hardly feel it I don't know why they would make such a weak motor in the fan at all it's a terrible fan I'm going to have to get a new one because what I bought it for it's not strong enough to even use it for what I need it for
