These plugs, make it really easy to connect my home to my Alexa that I currently use it makes it very convenient for me to turn utilities and lights on and off and set them on timers so that I don't have to worry about using a remote that I traditionally would use to access outlets that are out out-of-the-way for unplugging certain cords, and it makes it very convenient for me to set timers on strands of lights for the holidays indoors, as well as a Christmas tree rather than using a traditional remote control that I've used for the last 15 years. I really enjoy having this opportunity to upgrade my life with these outlets and give myself the ease and peace of mind of knowing that things will be shut off on time and turned on when I would like. I have the convenience of using them without the inconvenience of having to remember to turn them on and off and unplugged them whenever I want to use them.

Purchased for my 84 yr old mother who is blind in one eye and due to macular deg AND glaucoma has very low vision in her other. Using Alexa she can verbally tell specific lights to turn on and off. This is a game changer for her. Especially in the middle of the night!

My favorite thing I've bought all year! Super easy to use. I have used it to automatically turn on and off an ozone generator while I'm at work, turn on a space heater in the bathroom on my way home, control Christmas lights, time my crock pot. It is simple and versatile and extremely useful.

Love this little thing! We bought this to plug the fan of our wood stove into so we don't have to reach behind it to turn the fan off/on while the stove is running. Best investment ever! It has never lost connectivity, was super simple to set up, and even easier to use. Ease of use is simple--on/off switch in the app. That's what I wanted. We haven't used the Alexa voice part, as we don't have devices like that, so I can't speak to how well that feature works. But if you're looking for a cheap, straightforward way to turn a device on/off, this is your device. This is our first "smart" outlet, and we have already discussed purchasing several more for other specific items around the house.

Easy to set up. Must go directly into outlet not extension cords etc. works well and super easy to set up with the app and then add to our Alexa for easy on/off voice activation. I can also directly turn on and off with the app. Super helpful for Christmas trees.

These are amazing gadgets! What a steal for the price. All you have to do is download the app %26 you can simply click a button to turn the outlet on and off. For example I am laying in bed writing this review %26 just realized I forgot to turn off the Christmas tree lights. All I have to do is open my app… magical!!! I plan to purchase more!

I'm very satisfied with both the price and availability of the iHome Smart Plug. It was easy to find in stock, and the price felt very reasonable compared to other smart plugs on the market. I appreciate that Walmart keeps essential smart-home items affordable and accessible. Being able to order it quickly without delays made the experience even better. Overall, I'm very pleased.

I have 7 of these in various rooms. One in the bathroom failed after a few months. The others have been working for 3 years. I also have 4 in-wall switches, 3 6-outlet strips, an outdoor switch a doorbell and 2 cameras from the same manufacturer. I had to replace a 6-outlet strip recently. I also tried several types of their lights and their thermometers but none of them worked for very long. I am mostly satisfied. Three caveats: 1: When these devices fail, they all fail the same way: the WiFi module stops working. 2: these products require an exceptionally good WiFi router with many simultaneous connections. I found this out when I changed internet providers. The new WiFi is very good, but good enough. I have so many connected devices that it drops connections. 3: the manufacturer (Geeni/Merkury innovations) has terrible customer service. Walmart can replace or credit a return but you will get no help from the manufacturer. I continue to use Geeni/Merkury Innovation products because I love their app. My porch lights and decorative lighting turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. My under-cabinet lighting turns on/off both when I turn on/off the ceiling light and also independently. The security cameras and doorbell camera have excellent resolution even in the dark and back up to a cloud service. When I am away from home I can see and converse with people who ring my doorbell. So, I am mostly pleased but keep in mind that if this is your first “smart” device you will likely also go down the Geeni/Merkury Innovations rabbit hole.

THE ON - OFF FEATURE IS REALLY HARD TO SET UP - IT IS NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL. THEIER CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT! THEY DO SEND ME INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO SET UP THE TIMERS FOR MY 3 MODULES TO GO ON AND OFF BUT THEN THEY WORK FOR A WHILE BEFORE THEY FLAKE OUT AND DONT TURN ON WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOESED TO. VERY FRUSTRATING !!!!!

Trash product with no customer service. They also don't send behind their warranty. Neither switch functions properly using the scheduling functions. Multiple chats with customer service. No help. Keep be told “rest assured” someone will reach out in 24-48hrs. No one does. Asked for replacements. Denied. Save your money. Buy something from a reputable company.
