Merkury Innovations Smart 4-Outlet Wall Extender, 15A 1800W, Wi-Fi Enabled, Works with Alexa & Google Assistant – White

Bought this outlet to control some lamps/lights that were not smart devices. Made it so much easier to turn on and off the non smart devices! One critique I do have is that it's not easily compatible with Amazon. If you have an Alexa device and App, it's troublesome to pair it to your smart device hub. But if you don't use Amazon it works like a charm!

Doesn't work with Alexa or at least I couldn't figure it out. The app they say to use doesn't work with Alexa . Hard to connect to WiFi . Had to use a plug near the router to set it up then move it where I need. App not great .

so I saw a bunch of negative reviews but was sure that it was user error or just compatibility issues. it isn't. the product description clearly says you can control all 4 outlets independently, but you can not. the top right outlet is the only on me that can be controlled by Google home. all the other ones do nothing when using the Google home app. you can control each one individually using the product app, however, their system is so bad that if you try and build a schedule in their app each outlet has to have an action. so for instance, I can't have one outlet turn off and the rest do nothing. but I can have 3 turn on and I turn off at any specific time. really this product would have solved a need I have if it was just more polished.

The app crashes and doesn't shut off the smart plug automatically, even when it's scheduled. You also have to download a new app that doesn't work with the old switches. Would not recommend.

Although this item has the same part number, it is NOT the same as the one I had before. I NEEDED the USB a %26 b receptacles that were in the top of the model I had before in the 1990s. I had to modify this item in order for it to work temporarily with an additional separate charger, so I can't even return it to the store.

The Merkury devices no longer work with Alexa. There are only 1 devices that work with the Alexa skill now - 1 camera and 1 power strip. Nothing else. I can setup using the Merkury app (but not the Geeni app). These are worthless without Alexa functionality.

This is basically a plug you can operate with your smart phone. The scheduling/scene portion of the software doesn't work. The customer support just tells you to do the standard uninstall/re-install the app, make sure iOS is up to date, delete/re-create the schedule, is it on a 2.4GHz network.....of course it is...I can literally turn it off/on manually but not with the schedule. Which I plainly stated to support.

This thing is the worst. Hard to set up and doesn't follow any of the schedules I set up. You have to do all four plugs in one “rule” even if you're only turning one plug on or off. It's just bad all around.

Really hard to connect. Can not control the plugs separately. No way to set a schedule and the timer doesn't work properly. Had to replace the one for my turtle. I like to control her lights and filters whine not at home. This was a big disappointment!

I bought 1 a few years ago had no issue til it just stopped working. I bought a replacement and couldn’t get it to connect thought it was defective so I returned it %26 got another. Same issue. It will not reset, it won’t connect to the app, it just tells me my phone isn’t on WiFi which is not true my phone is connected to wifi. It’s too hard to get it to connect to anything.
