Keeps off ticks, snake bites, and spiny plants.
I wore out my last pair, but I use them every day working in the yard. Mowing the grass, cutting branches, when you use a chain saw, pants out, or they get full of sawdust. Pants are inside for raking and general yard work. I love leaning things on the toe for moving heavy things!

Defective boots.
Wore them for the 1st time and they had water get into them. Wore them a 2nd time and same thing happened. I walked the boot isle in person to see if they were all defective and they looked to be so. They have what looks to be a thick short string cut from manufacturing coming out of them around the boot not noticeable if you're not looking. I presume that's what caused the defect. I didn't get a picture before returning but recommend you inspect the boot beforehand. They had potential.

Not for working in
Bought the boots and within 4 days of working they had holes in them from bending. They do not hold up to any kind of flexing. I would not waste my money on this type of boot for working maybe for around the yard would be fine but not for actual work use.
