I use this for my everyday carry. Replaceable razor blades make for an easy swap when needed. Only thing missing is a pocket clip!

Great knife, low profile and durable

I love this little compact utility knife! I love everything about it, its a must have for anyone. This fits right in the little pocket above the regular jeans pocket. I like that its multi function and the blades are replaceable which is great since a regular knife would have to be sharpened. That being said the only draw back to this is the blade replacement itself which requires a little torque bit to remove the outer shell to replace the blade. I guess thats why its so stout though. I would recommend to anyone and everyone!

This is no ordinary utility knife that has only one purpose. This is the jack of all trades utility tool that you can utilize for multitudes of odds and ends. To begin, the hybrid tool comes in a little over 4 inches so that it can be carried around in your pocket. It includes a cord cut notch and a lanyard hole. For those bottle drinkers this hybrid tool includes a bottle opener. The end of the tool has a small and larger flat driver that you can utilize for screws. For the DIY folks it also has a wire stripper. Then for those loose nails there is a nail puller to get rid of that hazard. It also has a pry bar utility. Last, but not least the full sized utility blade. This light weight, small, and full of capabilities hybrid tool has been an excellent addition to my tools. Currently, I have it my kitchen/living room where I have easy access to a bottle opener. Then when I need to replace my kids' toy batteries, I can use the flat driver to get them out. The of course of the utility blade handy, especially after I had to cut out and breakdown some toy boxes after opening some for my son's birthday presents.

I'd wanted a folding-style utility knife to carry for some occasions for quie some time now. I love using my Olfa utility knife, and thought that having a similar style blade in a more pocket-friendly format would be great. Unfortunately, most of the foldable utility knifes I've seen have been very industrial--great for a jobsite, but not quite nice enough for me to want to every day carry for general use. Enter the Gerber Prybid. Rather than being a folding knive, the blade extends via a sliding mechanism, similar to an extending utility knife (like the Olfa). This allows the knife to have the same functionality, only thinner—a great thing for pocketability. Further, there's no sharpening! You don't have to worry about destroying the blade by cutting inappropriate things, because you can just swap a new blade in! It's not perfect for everything, but handles most of my general knife needs. They've further added a bit of utility by adding a multi-use pry-bar at the bottom. Depending on which portion you use, you can pry, loosen/tighen flat-head screws, strip wires, open bottles, or cut cord. The knife feels good in the hand, and has the surprisingly combination of being both lightweight and very solid feeling. and has a rough finely-scaled pattern for grip (what knife nerds call G10.) There is not a risk of the blade accidentally becoming extended, as it requires a fair amount of force to push down. The blade extends to 2 positions, the first for cutting, and the 2nd for changing the blade. Unfortunately, even when the blade is extended to the 2nd position, there is no additional cutting surface exposed. This does completely preserve 1/2 the effect cutting surface though, so when the blade gets dull, you can just take it out and turn it around, exposing the fresh half of the blade. Of the multitools, the most useful to me is the pry-bar itself. I've broken many knives by inappropriately using the blade to pry on things. Also a screwdriver should be great to have, but I do not understand why they didn't cut one end of the blade such that it could be used for phillips screws as well--like their keychain pry tool. As it stands, it can only be used for flat head screws (and seriously, how common are those these days..). As far as the other tools, they feel like the kind of thing they included because it was free to do so, but that most people won't find much value in. The "wire stripper" is really just the center of the pry-bar—a part which, IMHO happens to function much better as a nail puller. The cord cutter could be useful, perhaps, though the cord must be pretty thin to be able to contact the blade. In any case, I don't see much benefit over simply using the exposed blade itself.

It's... a... box-cutter; with, an... easily, replaceable, and, exchangeable, removable, and, interchangeable, standard, sized, razor-blade, it's... also, a... bottle-opener, pry-bar, nail-puller, wire-stripper, small, flat-head, driver, as, well, as, a, large, flat-head, driver, with, a... cord-cut, notch... design. All ... Accessible... to... "me," at... any ... given ... Moment ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

The sliding mechanism on the models that use FRN have blade issues which seem to be fixed on the G-10 models

This is my true everyday carry. It handles most of what I need. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because a pocket clip would be a nice option

I love the size of this and how it fits in my small hands. I do not like the fact that although it may seem obvious, it's not at all as how to change the blades? To this day, still don't know. They should've sent instructions for that and included an extra blade. We all want to have an extra blade just in case.

It looks pretty sweet! and its light weight! but it doesnt have a belt clip or anything and I was afraid it would pop open in my pocket, not that it like would or anything but its litterally a razor in it. has a million other tools as well but i didnt really use it much and wasnt really sure enough to leave a review yet, but someones autobot starts flexing its chest about "timely manners" lol, you get what you get.
