This is cheap, do not expect too too much. HOWEVER, this was much much better quality than I expected. First off it's twice as heavy as I thought it would be, the boards they send are decently thick and strong. It was a breeze to put together, maybe 15-20 minutes with someone passing me pieces. It arrived in one box, a day early, and after several months and my dog climbing up the shelves a few times it's held up really well. I'm quite impressed. For $40 you really cant get a better bookshelf.

Went together pretty easily, except there was no way to attach the top to the bottom. Yes, i followed the instructions exactly, and they are easy to follow instructions with every part labeled clearly. But the holes weren't there to attach the top to the bottom, so I drilled them myself and used some brackets I had already to attach the pieces. I'm sure that was a one off kind of mistake.

Half of the screw holes didn't line up, even though I made sure everything was placed as it should be. Typically, I have no problem putting together furniture pieces, but this was a nightmare. Had to have my son force the screws in while I tried to hold it together. I absolutely refused to go through the hassle of the process of sending it back. But, several hour, and blistered hands, later we did manage to get it together. It leans forward and it's wobbly, but I'm going to try wood glue and see if that helps. If you have a drill, this may work for you. I do not. I've never needed one before this. It seems from other reviews it's a hit or miss with this product.

I got what I paid for it's. It's two pieces that you put together seperatley. The holes didn't line up properly between most pieces and almost all the screws stripped after 2 turns and I had to use woodglue between the pieces to stabalize and fix gaps. If you have arthritis in your hands, take pain reliever, or a drink 1st, whichever you prefer. I thought it would be more of a hassel to return the item after I opened it, and it was 2 hours later before I almost admitted defeat.

Was surprised at how much smaller this bookshelf turned out to be especially for the price. Like the finished look of it. Wasn't able to fit as many books as I anticipated and had to turn larger books sideways but basically decided to keep it since I put in all that effort putting it all together.

This is a nice bookcase, BUT assembly was not that easy. There was a piece that kept falling out of the groove it was supposed to be installed in. It was one of the backing pieces. So I kept stopping the other steps because it needed to be fixed before I could continue assembly. That aside, I moved it in place very carefully, because I wasn't sure if that back piece would fall again. It didn't, and I wasn't sure happy with the results, and it's aesthetically pleasing. The shelves are sturdy. So even though assembly was a bit challenging, I would still rec it.

Overall, the bookshelves look fine %26 serve their purpose. However, we purchased multiple units %26 there is the same mislabeled piece in each unit--instead of a shelf with a double bevel to allow the backing to slide into each side, a second bottom shelf is labeled as that piece, preventing usage of all the backing. This causes a gap in the back of the shelves.

I'm 5'2 I have never been bigger then a bookcase before. it took forever put it together Stripped screws some of the boards still have gaps in them where the screws won't go together On the shelves/ sides too much of a hassle to take it down, put it back in the box, take it to the store just to get my money back.

Missing part F (bottom). Walmart proposes to return it by mail (I already unpacked it and started assembling, when I noticed the missing part) or get 20% refund for missing part (I can not use all the other parts, as the bookshelf will not stand and will not support load).

The issue isnt the item, the cabinet Im sure is totally fine. Problem is delivery. I dont know who the delivery company is, but they literally left the item outside the building, did not bother to buzz the apt%23 which is CLEARLY noted on the address. Had it not been for the text alert, this couldve EASILY been stolen.
