it costs a little more than others but the best microwave meal I've ever had. I would prefer less mushrooms but the flavor they add is worth picking out a few
So many things to try these days don't live up to expectations, let alone surpass them - this stuff did. Absolutely delicious pasta sausage and mushrooms, and they are NOT stingy with ingredients, either. Microwave directions were unlike any I'd seen before so I was skeptical at first… but nah, it worked perfectly and was super easy. Buy this, you won't regret it.
We were celebrating Mom's Day, feeling lazy (55 perks), and planning to order lunch. Our favorite pizza place wasn't open yet, so I'd already grabbed two of these meals as a backup. Good thing, because no one wanted to go anywhere, so I cooked. My husband was actually right when he said to just serve one of them with a salad. One was plenty. I'm not big on meat, but it was pretty decent. The other three loved it, especially my husband, who is brutally honest about food. If he says he likes something, he really does. Lots of sauce, plenty of meat, mushrooms just right. And the best part? Zero effort. Three bags, cut, dump, microwave, done. Not frozen, so it cooks fast. We still have the second one, and it'll definitely get eaten.
The only real complaint I have, is the lack of mushrooms (taste and quantity). It is still quite good and it is a filling meal. I buy them regularly and strongly reccomend them! P.S. Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods, so I'm a bit of a "snob" where they are concerned. If i were the company, I'd add more mushrooms and use Portabella's in place of what they use now (at least in the gravy for the taste profile}.
To be fair, I previously had a slightly different sausage in what they offered before… I have not tried this yet, but will come back to give a full detailed review. I only remember I loved the previous results so I expect to really like this slightly different flavor. Also, for the money, you really get a good size portion.
The preparation is simple. The sauce has a good flavor. I added parm. The noodles are nice and pillowy. The mushrooms are okay. The beef is not good. It tastes weird and has a rubbery texture, even when cooking on the stove. They could have left the funny textured and tasting beef out and it would have been a hundred times better.
I came here intending to leave a luke-warm review, then I saw what I paid for it. Yikes. This is an absolute rip-off, no two ways about it. Just make four budget frozen dinners and toss them in the same bowl, and you'll have a superior experience at half the price.
This is terrible It has a soapy taste I think it's the meat that tastes like soap the noodles don't cook as they should they are hard and don't taste like pasta We are not even going to eat it it's horrible highly processed garbage and going in the trash
According to my household this tastes like glue and cardboard. “Art's and Crap” is what we have dubbed it. I was skeptical from the directions because it was microwave only and was pretty weird. Not the easy meal I thought it was. We ordered pizza. Waste of $16.
Rana normally has very good products in their line. This is NOT one of them. The combination of mushrooms and Italian sausage is an odd one for staters. Also, the product had a strange chemical taste to it. Again, Rana has great products but this is NOT one of them.
