Campbell's Chunky Chili Mac Soup, 18.8 oz Can

My husband has cancer so he only has a few options he can eat and he craves cambells and by God if he will eat it I will buy it no matter our budget ! We may at times be low but he will eat I may not but as long as I can keep him alive with a smile like a kid again this soup is a must have 🥹❤️🙏🏼

I picked up a can of Campbell's Chunky Creamy Chicken Bacon Carbonara Soup expecting a quick lunch. What I got was a full-blown emotional support meal. The first spoonful hit me so hard I actually checked the can to make sure someone hadn't secretly stuffed a small Italian restaurant inside it. Creamy sauce? Check. Chicken? Check. Bacon? Oh yes. The kind of bacon flavor that makes you nod silently and stare into the distance while reconsidering all your previous lunch choices. This soup is CHUNKY in the truest sense of the word. I've had soups that claimed to be chunky before. Those soups were liars. This one delivers enough chicken and pasta that my spoon needed a proper warm-up before going in. Halfway through the bowl, I stopped watching TV because the soup had become the main event. My original plan was to eat half and save the rest for later. That plan lasted approximately three bites before my survival instincts took over and informed me that Future Me could solve his own problems. The creamy carbonara flavor is rich, comforting, and dangerously good. It's the kind of meal that makes you say, "Just one more spoonful," about seventeen times. My only complaint is that the can isn't bigger. When I finished, I stared into the empty bowl like I'd just completed a great adventure and wasn't ready for it to end. If you're hungry, tired, cold, busy, or simply looking for an excuse to eat bacon in soup form, this is the answer. Five stars. Came for lunch, stayed for the life-changing carbonara experience. 🍜🥓⭐🤣

I didn't know how to respond to "salty on the survey!" It's not salty, just right. This soup has more REAL ingredients than famous Campbells ever did. I like to add some frozen veggies. No mess, no fuss. This can provides two servings. I also use a can over Alfredo pasta with or without added veggies. Pop open can is quick and easy. In ten minutes you're eating lunch or dinner. I stock up on this soup.

This soup suffers from a high level of sodium. It is so bad that it drowns out what the soup is supposed to taste like. If Campbell's started a low-sodium line of soups, that would be excellent. Until that happens, I am avoiding most of their offerings.

Campbell’s C.C.B.Carbonara Soup is praiseworthy. Campbell’s Carbonara has a lot of extra unwanted liquid and sauce as it’s servings. The Parmesan cheese’s flavor was it’s most pronounced aroma. The chicken tasted like most other chicken soup chicken, except the texture was fibrous, tender, and reminiscent of scallops. The short penne pasta used as an ingredient was overcooked, yet firm. Without the Parmesan, Campbell’s Carbonara may seem like chicken Alfredo. There were no tomatoes in Campbell’s Carbonara. Campbell’s Carbonara could be used as a base ingredient for a better meal. Campbell’s Carbonara could use additives. Try Campbell’s Carbonara with added salt. Campbell’s Carbonara, unlike other sizes of soups, could be shared.

I gave this three stars. The reason being as I really don’t like thick gloppy soup. I was hungry when I bought it and it didn’t taste too bad but I ended up fitting it out because it was just too thick. Flavor was good someone else may love it more than I did. I think I just really prefer chicken soup that has broth and vegetable vegetables and some noodle

So, the "soup" part tastes kind of OK. The noodles taste like they melted into the soup making the soup taste more like flour and less like Carbonara. The chicken is chunky and tastes like chicken - no complaints. Salty? Oddly yes and no. The salt balance is not good. Like there's too much in the soup and none in the noodles. So, bland plus salty... unfortunately, does not equal tasty. Then, there's that fake baconny after-taste. It smells GREAT, though. Go figure.

I'm the type that likes to try any food once. But i regret buying this particular soup. It's mostly liquid with an off cheese flavor. The "bacon" was chunks of ham (which tasted okay, but it wasn't bacon). It has pasta and peas as well, but it just was not a good combination of flavors

This is not good tasting at all. The noodles are the texture of mush. Everything in it taste like chemically almost. NOT like picture. if you must have soup just pick a different one than this. Trust me. Even adding better ingredients couldn't help this sad concoction.
