I purchase these and have them delivered to my father cross country because he loves them. They are easy for him to heat and eat and they are stored on the shelf of the pantry so no refrigeration needed. I always ask if I can send something else and this is his favorite go-to. So he gets these whenever he runs out.
I buy a lot of of these shelf stable meals for my mother. I am a caregiver to her, and if the weather would get bad and I would not be able to make it to her house I know that she has several meals in the cupboard, not taking up freezer space. These are a perfect size for her. I have bought several varieties.
that's that's pretty good shelf stable really good for your backup pantry in case something goes wrong earthquake extra not very tasty but good enough textures a little off but edible I got several of them and I eat them every once in a while just to rotate them
Walmart, I ordered three sets of three of the Hormel meatloaf and brown gray with mashed potatoes,....and which would have been a total of nine,..we received eight Hormel dinners not nine. So would like to know what Walmart intends to do about it,...please reply. I have been very pleased with all my orders . Thank You, Nancy
My family loves mostly all of the Hormel Compleat Ready to Heat %26 Eat Meals!! 😊 We normally add a little butter, salt and pepper, a sprinkle of garlic and onion powder, a dash of Sazon and top it with some ketchup after heating in the microwave for about 3-4mins bc we live our food piping 🥵 hot!!
When you don't have, ingredients, time or energy to cook. This is a good substitute to fast food. It does have shelving preservatives, however, it has quality meat that isn't pressed, processed meats. They do , however, have a slight preserved flavor - as you would a canned product.
So salty, I had to take Tums to help with the burning in my chest/throat. Had this for lunch yesterday and it was very mid. Patty was tender enough for meatloaf. Brown gravy was overly salty. Potatoes had thick, almost homemade texture but lack flavour. Maybe add salt to the potatoes and reduce how much goes into the gravy?
I read the reviews on this item and decided to try it. I can't believe that it tasted so shockingly bad to me. It had an after taste that was overwhelming. I could barely taste the actual meat and potatoes with gravy over that taste. After a few bites, the "after taste" no longer goes away...it simply lingers in your mouth. It's a ??? chemical taste maybe ?? that's all I can think of right now. It definitely doesn't resemble any seasoning. I just finished it, and there is still a metaluc taste on the front of my teeth. If you have a discerning pallet, I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS !. I have eaten other kinds of this Hormel brand and enjoyed them, like the Beef Pot Roast for example.
Pretty bad! Meat had the texture of pressed canned dog food and tasted as such. Potatoes and gravy awful too. Took a few bites- just couldnt finish. Maybe ill try the Alfredo one someday- maybe!
absolutely gross...does not look attractive nor appealing..does not taste like anything let alone meatloaf. Looks like what I feed the wild house cats in the field from cans of wet cat food. Only square cut instead of round slices from cans. Does not even have an alluring smell. And I bought a stack of them. They say shelf stable till June of 2027. To send this I had to give it one star...there prepare is 1 minute but even that is a failure. want to send back to store but it isn't decent enough for paying customers. Stupid me bought stack of at least 5 varieties because the turkey and stuffing was delicious.
