all you need is a heater(for tripical fish), substrate, decor, and fish. the tank comes with everything else! its well put together and it looks a lot fancier. i didnt use the plastic black stand because it didnt seem safe but overall its great. would get again.

What a cool fish tank not only can you get fish that glow in the dark it puts off a nice glow in your room. This tank is very easy to set up just get it out of the box fill it up with water and put in whatever decorations you want. You can get the fish from the pet store the ones that glow and once you get your glow lights set up watch and be amazed . The tank was very easy to set up and it's made with very nice material to withstand a while. I highly recommend this product

I love this aquarium! First off I love the look of it! The lighting and décor of it creates a beautiful florescent look that both kids and adults love. I like the size of this tank it is not big or bulky and fits so nicely on my countertop. Even though it is on the smaller side it appears much bigger. Secondly I really appreciate that this aquarium is energy efficient. It is a nice feature that you can choose between two modes: moonlight mode and sunlight mode. It helps to save energy!Lastly I love the filtration system on this tank! The 3 stage filtration system provides an efficient and quiet way to clean the water in the tank. It makes me feel great that I am keeping my beta fish in a nice clean tank.All in all I LOVE this fish tank. It is gorgeous! The lighting features are super cool and unique and a great conversation starter when I have guests. I also appreciate that it is energy efficient and has a great filtration system to keep fish in healthy sparkling clean water! I highly recommend this product!

I set up this GloFish Cycle 5 gal Desktop Starter Tank on my desk and am waiting on the water to cycle so I can fill it with fish. I am excited the tank looks to be well built and the quality is good. I will add the fish after the water is ready and try to update my review soon. The water cycle is taking longer than planned since my cat messed up the 1st fill-up and starting water.

omg very perfect! The perfect size for a beginner tank. It was easy to set up and thus far my two Bettas and two bottom feeders are swimming around nicely. The option of blue or blue/white light is nice. I prefer the blue light for a calming visual affect.

I have had this 5-gallon GloFish aquarium set up for a few weeks now. I love it. It comes with everything you need to get started (except fish and water). The instructions were easy to follow. I had it set up in no time. It uses the Tetra filter which is a great brand. The light is my favorite part. It has different modes that can be used. It is a gorgeous setup.

I was very excited to set up this aquarium. I use this aquarium for my beta fish. It was simple to set up and I like the light system. So far the filtration is keeping the water very clean. The glow aquarium is very quiet and modern looking. I'm enjoying this aquarium.

This tank was the perfect size for a ledge we have between our kitchen and den. We didn't use the black base for that reason. It was very easy to put together. Has a few different light options and it really glows nice! Already interested in a larger one. No complaints whatsoever.

The design and overall contemporary look of The GloFish Cycle 5 gal Desktop Starter Glass Aquarium Kit is perfect for my mid century modern house: it is low profile and really cool. I wanted to get a single color of the glow fish but through research I found out that glo fish are a schooling fish and need at least six members in their pack: The 5 gallon is too small for six of these fish because these guys get up to three inches long. Only three of the fish are recommended for a five gallon tank and that is not enough for them to live their best lives. so I got another betta: Perfect!

This fish tank looks so good sitting in my living room! I love how it is taller rather than wide so it takes up less space on a stand. It is fairly quiet too. My kids love turning on the black light and seeing the Glofish that we purchased. The light really does make a difference when looking at them! So far the tank has been great. No leaks and it has stayed pretty clean but we do have an algae eater.
