all you need is a heater(for tripical fish), substrate, decor, and fish. the tank comes with everything else! its well put together and it looks a lot fancier. i didnt use the plastic black stand because it didnt seem safe but overall its great. would get again.

I was very excited to set up this aquarium. I use this aquarium for my beta fish. It was simple to set up and I like the light system. So far the filtration is keeping the water very clean. The glow aquarium is very quiet and modern looking. I'm enjoying this aquarium.

The Glofish 5-gallon desktop aquarium is a perfect starter set. We have a couple of these sets for our kids' pet fish or frogs or baby turtles or crabs. Another use for us is temporarily keeping our feeder fish for our much bigger tank. We set up the aquariums side-by-side to each other so the kids can watch and compare them. Easy to install and use - decorate and add water and fish/etc.

My husband has wanted a small aquarium for a while now and this seemed like the perfect solution for him. He has it on top of his dresser in the bedroom and it works well. We love the different light modes(sunlight moonlight twilight and midnight). it does not have a sealed top like the 3 gal shadowbox tank does but there seems to be minimal spray from the pump. It is perfect for a betta and several(no more than 3 or 4) small glow fish. It does not come with gravel so we had to buy that since it just didn't look right without it. And it took a few phone calls to find a pet store in the area that actually had the glow fish in stock. But once it was set up and running hubby was just over the moon. It is a great little tank and the lighting adds nice ambiance to the room.

I wanted to get a single color of the glow fish but through research I found out that glo fish are a schooling fish and need at least six members in their pack: The 5 gallon is too small for six of these fish because these guys get up to three inches long. Only three of the fish are recommended for a five gallon tank and that is not enough for them to live their best lives. so I got another betta: Perfect!

This is a great starter kit tank. We own several tanks at our home. Have few fish in each one. This one is not only beautiful but it has this aesthetic to it which makes it look so elegant and modern. Very eye catching for our visitors and friends. I would definitely recommend!

I love this aquarium! First off I love the look of it! The lighting and décor of it creates a beautiful florescent look that both kids and adults love. I like the size of this tank it is not big or bulky and fits so nicely on my countertop. Even though it is on the smaller side it appears much bigger. Secondly I really appreciate that this aquarium is energy efficient. It is a nice feature that you can choose between two modes: moonlight mode and sunlight mode. It helps to save energy!Lastly I love the filtration system on this tank! The 3 stage filtration system provides an efficient and quiet way to clean the water in the tank. It makes me feel great that I am keeping my beta fish in a nice clean tank.All in all I LOVE this fish tank. It is gorgeous! The lighting features are super cool and unique and a great conversation starter when I have guests. I also appreciate that it is energy efficient and has a great filtration system to keep fish in healthy sparkling clean water! I highly recommend this product!

I put this 5 gallon aquarium in my granddaughters room and she absolutely loves it. She has her 3 little fish which she named. Just enough light in her room at night. She watches them and it calms her right to sleep! Very durable and easy to clean. I just love it.

Love this Awesome Fish Tank from GloFish! It is a small and can easily fit in many different places including your desk! 5 gal capacity is easy to fill and super easy to set up. Literally opened the box set it up and off to the fish store we went for some cuties! They love their new home and we love keeping them! Soo fun
