Active children need the extra safety straps . Last year's vest was too loose. This one addresses the fit issue.

Broken After First Use
Unfortunately this life jacket broke the second I strapped my son in. Not sure if I just got a faulty one or not but this was quite a bummer. It's cute but definitely not a quality product.
