I've been buying this rice for several years and it never disappoints. The aroma and texture is amazing. Even one of my kids who didn't like rice decided to try it because it smelled so good. now he's unhappy if we run out of it. The large bag is a good buy and depending on how you use it will last you for a while.

My family and I have been eating Golden Star Thai Hom Mali Jasmine Rice for many years and we love it. I've tried many different brands, but Golden Star Thai Hom Mali Jasmine Rice is consistently the best. The 5 lb bag is the perfect size—it stays fresh and is easy to store. We love the aroma, as soon as it starts cooking, the kitchen smells amazing. It has that authentic, sweet jasmine scent. The texture has the perfect balance between being fluffy and slightly sticky. It never turns out mushy if you follow the water ratios. Most definitely the last thing is the quality, the grains are long, bright white, and clean. You can tell it's high-quality "Hom Mali" grade. Whether I'm making a stir-fry or just a simple side dish, this rice elevates the whole meal. Highly recommended for anyone who wants restaurant-quality rice at home!

This brand tastes great and always cooks evenly. Walmart ran out once so I bought one of the main contenders that starts with an M and no matter how I cooked it the rice came out mushy towards the bottom of the rice maker. To make 1 1/2 cups dry rice, rinse well in a colander and put in rice maker. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and a pinch of salt if you like. press cook or select white rice. when rice maker is done gently fluff rice with rice scoop spoon and check doneness. If the rice is not fully cooked add a tablespoon or two of hot water and gently stir. put lid back on and press cook again. Check doneness after 5-10 minutes. Every rice maker cooks a little different so you'll need to learn how yours absorbs the water and make a note of it for future. Some low end rice makers lose a lot of steam and need about a 1/4 cup extra water.

Until I find something off about this rice I will continue to buy it. It is such a nice fragrant rice and cooks up really perfect. I am one to use way less water and very low heat when cooking rice. It turns out fluffy and delicious…..Very good in all recipes or stand alone. I will continue to buy this brand of jasmine rice.

Preparation is easy as long as you follow directions as to the mount you are going to prepare . So two cups of water or you can use chicken broth or beef broth . Bring water to a boil and ADD one cup of water letting it boil a bit and cover and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes . Enjoy the tasty favor and the aroma of this wonderful but yet tasty rice . Next I have also purchase this rice brand many times and it's very good even price wise .

The is good jasmine rice with a price tag that makes it affordable. Golden Star jasmine rice cooks up so fluffy, with each grain of rice tasting so buttery with just the right amount of amount of texture and flavor. I buy this every time I need rice.

Not really a fan to write reviews even for money and don't shoo at Walmart for clothes but that item made me to actually do that - rave about that beautiful tankini - didn't expect much especially from unknown brand without trying it one first . Man I am glad I took chances just order and bought it - true to size ; black is true black;the cut , the quality and style are just amazing. The piece sits perfectly and very flattering- It has build bra , tummy control , the straps are the right width- not too wide ; it's long enough to cover the stomach so doesn't reveal my pouch ! The item looks exactly as on picture Didn't even dream of it ! Thank you ! Looking for another color to buy ! Definitely recommend

i thought i was getting a deal. nope, this rice is a B- in my book. sorry, there just this blandness compared to the other brand Mahatma, even after cooking it in a Zojiroshi rice cooker, Mahatma wins in taste and texture. overall, im switching back to Mahatma

this rice is bland and has little jasmine aroma made my Hawai'ian chicken recipe a total disaster the awful walmart tough dry chicken breast was also a loser an i will have to trash this rice donot see me wanting to cook it in the future yuck rice very thin short and nothing texture false advertising
