Very reliable!
Old-fashioned, like me, so I don't have to worry about a battery dying at an inconvenient time. Digital is good but I'm also comfortable with a thermometer style that I've been using for over 60 years. The ease of use and fast temperature readings are nice and cleaning the probe is simple.

Reading is well above actual temperature.
I suspected something off with this product so I checked it against three other known meat thermometers. They all read within five degrees of each other. This one read the temperature as being much higher leading to undercooked pork and chicken. Not safe for use with food if it reads 160 and the temp is really 140 inside the meat.

Pick another thermometer
This thermometer does a terrible job of giving you the actual temperature of the food. I'm utterly disappointed and shopping for another one.

It wasnt what I needed. I needed a thermometer to test mt micro wave dinners. had a similar one but lost it. this one didn't work like my old one . dont know why.
