GoPro Gooseneck - ACMFN-001

Bought this with my GoPro 8 and it lasted 1000s of miles on the front of my bike with me twisting it and contorting it like Houdini trying to come out of a coffin. I'm here to buy another one (and to drool over the GoPro 13). For y'all thinking four years is not long enough…I'm thinking that I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. And the video quality with a telescoped mount…smooth as glass.

I have used my Gooseneck since Hero 3. HAHA , guess it is time for a new one. : )

This gooseneck worked as intended. Mounted it on my skis for a different perspective.

This product works very good with the GoPro. Try it and you will like it. I was really happy with this product.

I really really love this clamp. I have used it for sooo many things and its very sturdy and durable. However the clip on the bottom of the gooseneck that attaches to any mount is extremely breakable. I rarely detach the gooseneck from the clamp but if I ever do, there is a good chance one of the plastic clips will break. I'm writing this review because I literally just broke one last night prior to performing making it unusable. I'm giving this a four strictly based on the fact you GoPro doesn't offer a replacement clip for the gooseneck. This will be the third time I have to purchase an entire gooseneck for one little clip. GoPro, there is no denying this part will eventually break so please offer a replacement part. If I could purchase a set of 3-5 of the clips I absolutely would knowing that if one broke I could easily replace it. Sell them as sets so you're not just packaging and shipping one clip. I have used GoPros for a long time and stand by their products but this is one of the most frustrating parts to deal with.

Based on the ‘Jaws' product, the base clip broke when removing and the links were not tight enough to hold the camera in position. So on videos when I'd go over bumps (snowboarding) there would be clicking sounds and the camera would also move position. Maybe I picked up a ‘Friday Afternoon' one…? Shame…

I have bought several of the "Gooseneck" mounts and every one of them the clips break after just a few uses. It's ridiculous that GoPro would make such an inferior product like this. This really needs to be addressed and fixed. GoPro needs to make them with a more flexible plastic AND replacements for the ones everybody, (and there are a lot of them, probably a everyone) has already purchased to repair the ones that are broken.

As others have stated, the plastic mounting clip at the base of the gooseneck is increasingly fragile. After a short period of use one of the “flexible” fingers on the mounting clip broke. Replacement clips are not available meaning you have to buy an entirely new gooseneck. Looking elsewhere for a replacement since GoPro seems to have zero interest in producing a quality product. They certainly can't pretend they are not aware of this issue.

The necl itself is great but the buckle mount is sinoly too fragole and i bouvbt two goosencks and two goose elcs broke on me eve. Thougb im really careful after the forst accident , gopro should make.the buckle mount user replacable and give some spare ones , in fact at the bottom of the screw there is a sxrew which u can undo yourself but u cant bug new one

I have bought both the goose neck and the extension. They both broke at the bottom mount clip in a similar spotrendering them useless as you can't add another mount in place of it. Very frustrating when you are overseas and trying to shoot with it. The clamp is solid yet the goose neck and the extension goose neck will let you down at the most inappropriate time. The mount at the bottom should be like any other gopro mount and be able to be switched out. It needs to be better!
