This product is among the best. It dries quickly and sands smooth. Accepts paint appropriately and is rock solid. Best use is for any type of trim work. Dispensing the product is problematic. In fact, it's a downright struggle. A repackage is needed.
This wood filler is fantastic. It does not store well. But for the price, it's OK. I used this on door frames to screw the hinges. I let it cure for a couple of days. Perfect. It looks like drilling in to a solid wall. Highly recommend But don't expect to save it for later. Hence the price I guess.
I'm not sure my back door trim has seen a coat of paint since the manufacturer rolled it off the line. And there are staple holes that seem to have inexcusably never been filled. This wood filler got me covered. My favorite paint finished it off. Easy to apply and if I was a little more careful I would have made less mess but that's on me. Any mess you might make wipes away easy. I was racing the sun so was smoothing it with my finger tips and everything about it was just easy. Easy to squeeze out of the tube, easy to apply, easy to spread and smooth, and easy to clean up. It covered the staples or nails or whatever holes they were and did a great job. Obviously I'm no pro and I will never claim to be, but this will hopefully help me keep from having to call a pro any time soon!
Easy to apply and works great. I used it to repair a crack around a door frame and even patched a chipped area on glass bowl
Difficult to apply to fill holes that are vertical rather than horizontal. Takes pressure to sqeeze filler out, difficult to control so must use narrow putty knife. Expensive, only good for filling small nail holes or cracks on horizontal molding. Crumbles after drying, chunks fall out for vertical fills. Not cost effective.
Suspect it was an old or cracked tube. Product was so dried out and hard, I couldn't get it out of out of tube. Had to cut it open and add water. What I could use worked fine but wound up throwing most of it away.
I'd much rather use the DAP plastic wood. This product is very hard to squeeze out of the tube. It is white and dries quickly. IMO it may dry so quickly because it is kind of dry to begin with which is why it was hard to squeeze out of the tube.
Won't spread with a puddy knife. It just clumps up and sticks to the head of the tube. Dries fast and creates a bunch of debris all over. You have to squeeze like the hulk to get it out. I looked at the product on their youtube channel and comments were disabled. I mean, that says it all right there. They don't want you talking about the product because it is crap.
Maybe this particular item was on the shelf too long before the purchase, but the contents were dried out inside the tube and nearly impossible to get it out of the tube.
It was very difficult to squeeze out and very dry. Almost hurt my hand trying to squeeze out. Not recommending this priduct. Will look for another that is easier to use.
