GOYA Plantain Chips, 10 oz Bag

When I opened the box and saw plantain chips, I thought it would be a sweet tasting snack. However, even though they look like bananas they definitely taste almost like regular potato chips with a nuttier flavor. Definitely a good savory snack! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

All I can say is "YUMMY!!" I didn't know what to expect when eating these. The first bite was a bit salty but then it quickly went away and the banana flavor kicked it! Texture of these are just like backed chips. If I was to close my eyes and you gave this to me, I honestly wouldn't even know that it was plantain. My kids are extremely picky eaters. But we love the Goya brand. I thought the chips would be a little sweet but they weren't. They were very crisp and light. Just the right amount of salt. These chios are so good. When I first tried them, I was expecting then to be sweet just like any other banana chips I have tried. Imagine my surprise when they tasted just like salty potato chips! This chips have a good flavor that you get tired of it really fast, its something I would eat if I find it at my house but not something I would buy. The flavor its very plain and even do its healthy I tend to like more flavor in my food.the portion of the bag is very rich, you get a lot of chips but again I cant eat them a lot because I get bored of the flavor.
