GRANDPATIO 11 ft Outdoor Umbrella with Base, Curved Offset Cantilever Umbrella for Patio Pool Deck, Champagne

This is an excellent affordable alternative to high-end/high cost canteliver umbrellas (ones that go for $2000-3000. After comparing all the options among many brands, here's what I found: (1) Price is exceptional, especially if you get a discount--mine was $250 off. (2) fabric is Sunbrella and I have the natural/off white which lets in alot of light but still lets you see your phone or read a book. (3) Includes a hefty and good looking cover (it has a slight pink tint compared to the linen color of the canopy but still looks good. (4) The base and hand crank are plastic but once the base is filled with playground sand and water, it won't budge and is about 450-500 lbs. Two people can still lift the base and move it around on the rear 2 wheels. The crank does have a steel connector so it seems sturdy enough. (5) The umbrella does angle well, but only in one direction, so make sure you know where you want your shade. (6) Windy days will sway the canopy. You can reduce the umbrella tension (how tightly it opens) or angle it, but close the umbrella in storms and high winds. If you place it near a wall or wooded area, you probably won't have any issues. I cover my umbrella when the storms come anyway, using a long pole (be careful to avoid scratching the powder coated finish when doing this). (7) The seams of the canopy fabric along the ribs could have been double sewn in my opinion, so that's why some people may develop rips after either lots of bad weather exposure or frequent opening/closing. It may be Sunbrella fabric, but it's not the thickness of upholstery material. I wouldn't let my kids play with it.

The umbrella and base arrived faster than anticipated. The scheduled Angi service fell through, so we decided to tackle this ourselves. It was easier to assemble than we had imagined. I got the sand in 50 lb bags at the local orange hardware store. We love it. Because we have limited space in our backyard, we chose the 11' umbrella in champagne and it is perfect. I'm unsure how it will stand up to Arizona's monsoons and am unsure if there are covers made for this style umbrella? I wish the manufacturer addressed these concerns in their instructions booklet.

arrived when it said it would in perfect condition. very easy to put together too. great material works for my patio. if i could of given 10 stars i would have... customer service was quick in response with my question. love it!!!

This is a high-quality patio umbrella that looks fantastic and works very well. I was most impressed with the instructions and how easy and quick it was to assemble. So many times, the instructions and assembly items are not worth the paper they are printed on. These are very clear, and the nuts, screws, and Allen wrenches are all included and in the order of the assembly steps. The unit works flawlessly and is very well constructed. A needed and very affordable upgrade to our patio

Nice looking but fair quality with piece not fitting properly. and may be unstable . Hopefully it will work , I don't think i can return it

Very nice umbrella! Went together pretty easily. 2 of the bolt holes were not drilled big enough to accommodate the bolt. Had to drill them open more.

Umbrella came defective in that it was bolted wrong direction. We wanted to just replace umbrella part but would have to return entire umbrella. Instead my husband took 1.5 hrs to deconstruct umbrella bolts etc and flip it the correct direction. Let's hope it holds up!

I am writing this review as an earnest plea to anyone considering buying the Grand Patio 11 ft Outdoor Patio Umbrella. The product is less of a shade umbrella and more of a dangerous projectile. Despite securing it adequately with more than 300 lbs of weight, the umbrella routinely, and spontaneously, flings open on its own, posing a grave safety risk, especially if you have small children or pets around. This isn't a problem isolated to windy conditions, either. Even a slight breeze is enough to prompt this umbrella into a wild dance. The hazard it brings to an otherwise serene patio is NOT worth the risk. I live in a wind-protected area, yet I have faced this terrifying issue on more than one occasion. It's become an item of fear rather than comfort or utility. As a responsible consumer, I urge you to consider other options. After a near-disastrous experience, I've switched to a different brand from Home Depot which has turned out to be far more reliable and well-grounded. In conclusion, I am actively seeking a refund for the Umbrella and strongly advise potential buyers to steer clear of this precarious product. It nearly injured my mother, my 2-year old and my dog in one swoop while there was literally no noticeable wind at all.
