It isn't as bright as white light, and that is exactly why I purchased it! I have spent the good part of 4 years turning my yard into a wildlife habitat, and animals are less sensitive to red light than white light. Many communities are switching to red streetlights because they are safer for birds, bats, and insects. It would be amazing if everyone took just one small step like this to help the planet.

Very pretty. I have them in our front porch light fixtures for Valentines Day. Note lightbulbs are LED so they are vibrant, not soft. But LED light bulbs save electricity bills.

We like this light a lot. It’s a soft reddish/pink color. Fits in regular light sockets. Most importantly the color doesn’t stimulate the brain to “wake up” so my kids can flip on the bedside lights to read and I can rest knowing that the light won’t keep them up, even if a good book does.

Very strong light, trying to make a stark white bathroom, that I cannot paint, a little more conducive to make up. Right now I look like a ghost with the white walls and the white lights right above. But I'm renting and I can't change it. So I thought adding a little bit of pink in one of the bulbs that are right above my head might help warm it up. It definitely did -- it just takes a little getting used to. But I love it! And it doesn't seem to affect what my makeup looks like when I leave the bathroom. So it's nice not looking dead when I step out of the shower or brush my teeth anymore! If I had known about these bulbs when I was a teenager a million years ago I would have used a lot of them them. So, bottom line, I highly recommend them for any use.

Color is strange, more greenish yellow, but works great for garage door opener because color doesn’t attract bugs much. Clear bulbs are bright to see but not so obvious from outside. Much less spider webs on the opener since less to catch! Photo shows after several months use, with no messy webs.

wow these halogen light bulbs are hard on the eyes. after being in the room with the light on when you look elsewhere are you'll see the opposite of that color for a while. for example after the pink light bulb I will see green tint everywhere. wish they would bring back the soft pink general electric light bulbs online to purchase. I like for the color as a night light but I won't be buying them again because of that weird effect.

My reason for this rating is because I received this as a substitution for the red one. They are not the same. You should not be substituting these lightbulbs.

I purchased these to put outside my garage because yellow lights usually don't attract bugs and give a softer light. However these aren't really yellow they are a florescent with a lot of green cast. They're hideous. Looks like I'm trying to signal the mother ship out there. Please manufacturers can you give us some SOFT light options?

when I put these in my socket the light flashed like a strobe light or party lights. I left it for a few seconds but finally took it out. Did anyone else experience this? does it finally stop flashing and stay on? I thought I was ordering the old type yellow bulbs to stop the bugs. also this is the Great Value brand with the yellow filaments.

Very disappointed, bought green bulbs for front door light for holidays, but the bulb flickers nonstop. Tried 2nd bulb did the same thing. Works fine inside no go for outdoors. Had to go and buy other ones for outside. Wasted money, didn’t want for indoors. Says nothing on packaging that they are for indoors only.
