Great Value Apple Pie Filling or Topping, 21 oz

For pies, this product could stand a little more spice, for my taste. Otherwise. brilliant! Mainly, though. I use it for my fruity tutty sauce (8 fruits, yams. pumpkin, peanut butter, a little vanilla and semi- sweet choco, all heated over very low flame for hours to achieve consistency) which mixes well with steel cut oats or goes over warm fruit bread, etc. I call it Millie Miracle's Magic Mush. It doubles as choco ice cream in summer. Make big batches (mine are 360-400 oz.) and freeze it.

Good for pies or cobblers. I like to take one cup of flour, one cup sugar, and cup of milk and add in a bowl with one teaspoon of cinnamon and mix. Take a stick of butter and melt in a glass baking dish at 350 then pour the flour mix into dish and last add this can of apples. Put in oven for 45min and quick delicious cobbler.

I use this apple pie filling mixed with 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon as the filling for my apple turnovers. Lightly brush crimped tarts with beaten egg and lightly roll in 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon before baking in 350F oven until lightly brown. Delicious!

Good balance of apples to spices, very tasty and easy to eat the entire can as a snack lol Great for baking or snacking. Goes well with peanut butter and other various fruits. Fair price and fast shipping. A experience. Would recommend and use again.

very very tasty, only thing I noticed different from other brands is when i cooked them in a dump cake, and the apples stayed a little bit crispier than other brands.. many people may love that as seem more like made with fresh fruit just picked.. i prefer softer apple in dump cake but taste great!!

Took a chance and bought Great Value Apple Pie Filling for a new recipe to try at Thanksgiving and it was every bit as delicious as it's higher priced, name brand competitor. By the way, Great Value Apple Pie Filling and Angel Cake Batter mixed and baked together was the dessert devoured!

I buy this Great Value brand apple pie filling because to me it actually taste better than similar brands I've tried. I have used this in several different recipes, and to make a quick pie, or I just warm it in the microwave and eat it by itself! One of my favorite quick desserts is to warm up flour tortillas, add some pie filling and roll it up and you have a little dessert burrito!

The only flavor is sweet. The apples taste gritty and it gives you a completely underwhelming experience. I tried this as an apple cobbler. I didn't add any additional spices. I wanted to see how this product tasted. My first impression was it felt like glue in my mouth. The flavor was overwhelmingly sweet. The apples were gritty. Overall I would recommend you to pass on this.

I bought this to add to my overnight oats, and I won't be buying it again. The other pie fillings were great! This one sucked. The apples have skin still on them, which doesn't work well for what I was using it for. It's just bitter and an unpleasant texture. Maybe it's fine inside a pie, but you can't enjoy it right out of the can like you can with the other fruit pie fillings. So this is not for me.
