My closet is like a tomb. It's so dark in there you can't see anything. I had to keep a flashlight on the shelf just to see what I was going to wear. That's why I was relieved when I received the Great value 6-pack Puck lights. They're very bright and you can simply touch the shade to turn off and on. They come with a retractable hook on the back so you can either hang them or use the 3M adhesive pads to mount them wherever you want. They take three AAA batteries (not included). I only had heavy duty batteries on hand, but those worked fine and the led lights were still very bright. The back of the battery compartment is easy to open and it's easy to install the batteries. All it takes is a simple counterclockwise twist and it disconnects from the base, that way if you have it mounted there's no need to take the whole thing down. The six-pack is great because I'm also able to keep one on a table that doesn't have a lamp and I can keep one in my bathroom as a night light. It's so convenient to be able to have light wherever you want it. I know they're tough because I dropped one and it still works fine. No more tripping over things and I can go to the grocery without being mismatched, lol.
I received this product from Walmart's Spark Reviewer program in exchange for my review. These arent your typical push puck lights. These are smaller, and they are touch activated, not push, which is so nice. They have a small swivel hook that pops out of the back if needed, so they can be hung easily. I keep one in a small closet that doesn't have a light in it and love it. Each light takes 3 AAA batteries, and the back just twists on and off. These lights came especially in handy during a recent power outage. They are so easy to carry around the house if needed, and work great to leave on kitchen and bathroom counters. Just enough light with just a small tap! They come with small 3M sticky discs in case you want to affix them to a surface as well. These lights are much better than I expected and I couldn't be happier with them!
These lights can really come in handy for your house or camping trips. They are small yet bright enough to lit up a small space. You can place them around the house where you don't have lights. I have put these in closets, car trunk, garage. They are touch enabled. All you need to do is tap on top and it lits up and tap again to shut down. It has a hanger on the back to hang it to some point. I don't like that hinge very much. Also, it takes three AAA batteries, I would prefer two AA's or two AAA's instead. Overall it is a great product and i would recommend it.
I received the Great Value 6-Pack Touch Activated Puck Light (Model 4142) from the Spark Reviewer program for my fair and honest opinion. The lights are 10 watts strong, which is what I needed for my darker area at my electric box. It isn't a bright white light that is blinding, but it's diffused. They take 3 AAA batteries, which by the way, is the only complaint I have about them. Once you put the AAA batteries in, you turn the unit on in the back of the light. Then all you need to do is tap the light for it to come on; tap to get it to go off. The description states that they have a 5 hour run time, but I have not tested that aspect. I put batteries in all of the lights and turned them on. They all came on. They come with a 2 sided very sticky circle so you can stick it to a wall, door, whatever. The back of the light has a place to put this sticky circle. No big deal to stick it on and put it on your wall. To remove the light and replace the batteries, you just unscrew the light from the pad, flip it over, put the batteries in, screw it back onto the pad. Easy! The lights are long-lasting, energy-efficient LED so you don't have to replace them and they don't get hot. As stated, the only con I can see is that it takes 3 AAA batteries not included, but I wouldn't let that keep me from purchasing them or recommending them to you.
Ok these are just the handiest things ever! You know how the bottom of your closet is usually dark and sometimes you pull out a different color shoe than you wanted because you could see??? Well this solves that for you ladies! Put them toward the bottom of closet and bam! Let there be light! Put them anywhere you need more light. Perfect for night when you don't need a lot of light but need just a little. Possibilities are endless. So far no complaints with these. Durable and dependable. A must have.
I love my Puck Lights! I have a very dark kitchen and I'm going to be moving soon and don't want to invest in a long term fix. I had just been dealing with it but now that I have these, I'm no longer washing dishes in the dark. Although the lights come with sticky tape, I elected to attach the lights to the bottom of the cabinets on each side of my sink using strong self stick velcro tape because I want to be able to take them with me when I move. The lights are light enough that this works. And they provide just enough light. Not overly bright but bright enough. I don't leave them on all the time because they do use 3 AAA batteries. I don't feel that its a waste because I have rechargeable batteries and replacing the batteries is easy enough. Although because I use those rechargeable batteries, I don't always get a full 5 hours of use that they advertise. But it's plenty long enough before I have to replace the batteries. I have also put these lights in my bathrooms on the wall next to toilet paper holders. I use them at night instead of turning on the big overhead light. The tap on function is a great help in my very sleepy state. And they are bright enough to help me see but not so bright that they 'wake' me up. And since they are only on for a few minutes at a time a couple of times a night, their batteries last for days and days. I would recommend these to friends (especially those who use rechargeable batteries) to help bring light to spaces that don't need light all the time. Thanks for you time.
I've wanted to add lights under my cabinets for quite some time, but I'm a disabled senior and not very good at home improvement projects. If I were going to do something, I had to hire someone, or find something easy for me to do myself. These little lights were a great answer! They were VERY easy to put under my cabinets! They came with round 3M foam pads with glue on each side. I put the pads on the lights, and then opened them up to put in the AAA batteries. That was easy to do, too. Then, I simply took the paper off the other side of the foam pad, and placed them where I wanted them. Within a few minutes I had lights under my cabinets. I was very happy! THEN, I had a problem. The light section of one of light fell off the piece holding it to the underside of the cabinet. I thought it would be easy to fix. Not so. I had a very difficult time trying to see and line up the holes and twist to hold the pieces together. I finally got it, and thought everything was fine. A few minutes later, I heard a bang. It was a different light which had fallen off and onto the counter. The foam piece didn't hold. So, I've learned that there is a problem for me, which is opening these lights to replace batteries, once glued to the underside of my cabinet was going to be a big problem. And they might fall off! I have decided to buy velcro instead of the 3M foam to attach the lights. I have used it in the past for holding other lights up and it works great for me. So, I think the lights will be fine, and easier to take down with the velcro, when changing batteries in the future. So, the lights are very nice and very easy to set up, but the foam pads are not the right tool to use for my purposes. I need to be able to pull the lights off easily to change batteries, and be able to get them back in place without the problems I encountered when one piece was still attached under the counter. I found that lining the pieces up to reattach them was too awkward and difficult for me to do when the piece is stuck to the cabinet bottom using the 3M foam.
The Great Value 6-Pack Touch Activated Puck Light is a nice little package of touch lights. Each light requires 3 AA batteries quick seems like a lot for such a little light. They are easy on/off by simply pushing on the the front of the light. They can hang easily with a screw or be placed just about anywhere you need a little extra light. They are not super bright but will work well for power outages. I plan to put one in each room on our main level in case the power goes out we can simply touch each one and have adequate light to move around.
I was very pleased when I first used them on a dark early morning stairway. We needed to used them an hour or two a couple mornings a week. We had been leaving the second floor bathroom light on but when the door needed to be closed it was very dark. There is a hallway light but it's too bright for early mornings when some are still sleeping. Theselights started out very bright. By the third use they were too dim to be safe. I thought the five hour use was for how long it would stay lit at a time. Turned out it was how long it takes to drain three batteries. We will be looking for a different way to safely have a light on dark mornings. Very disappointed. Reviews misleading or I received a bad batch of lights.
I laughed when I opened this product. These are TINY hockey puck size lights made of flimsy thin plastic. See them in person before actually buying so you know what you are getting. Better yet, try Home Depot, Lowes, Target, anywhere that is a step or four up.
