Great Value Canned Collard Greens, 14 oz

So happy we found this item! In our Portuguese cuisine, we eat a lot of collard greens (couves in Portuguese) but fresh collard greens are almost always out of stock. These are great! They are all chopped up in nice bite size pieces and are ready to use in our recipes.

All other brands I've found add so much to their greens, sugar, maltodextrin, MSG, hydrolyzed soy protein and just a bunch of nasty stuff. We used to buy these Great Value ones in the store but they stopped selling them. I was so happy they had them for delivery. They are just greens, water, salt. Perfect for you to season them the way you and your family like with real ingredients. Will be ordering again and again. They are a good way to add greens to your diet all year round.

I am on a strict salt intake. I don't like the pre-seasoned greens. I can season my own without that bad taste and the reaction all the salt causes. This is the best choice for me and I can change my tastes up. That's awesome when you cook them with different meats.

Great Value collard greens are so good. Doesn't taste like canned greens. If you can ignore the smaller chopped greens, please purchase. So delicious!! So good!! I am a senior and find it difficult to prep fresh greens.

I love these collard greens because I can season them however I want, and they don't include ingredients that I don't want. I have a favorite recipe that I make with them (Italian) and it disappears quickly.

It's a pity you have to get half a case shipped rather than a can or two of UNSEASONED collards. The store seems to have only those nastiy, seasoned greens.

This is an excellent buy!!! No bacon fat, great for vegans %26 vegetarians. This a VERY healthy canned vegetable. The only downsize…. It's ALWAYS out of stock!

These were surprisingly good… Had some frozen collards over the holidays and they took forever to cook and had a slight bitter taste. Unlike most canned vegetables, these were good… They were firm, not over salted or bitter. Great to have as a side dish with mashed potatoes and your favorite entrée item.

The way they were packaged was terrible!! There was not enough packing in the huge box and they were just thrown in a box loose. There were dented cans! YUK!!

I've had Great Value collard greens before, but the quality has deteriorated badly. From one can alone, we had to remove 10 woody pieces from 4 plates of food. If you don't mind chomping down on twigs in your cooked meals, then go ahead and buy these. Otherwise, I'd go for a name brand. I will not be buying them again.
