Just as good as Swanson or Tyson canned chicken. Buy this size to shred into fried rice. With fried rice dishes, get some chicken, but I get veggie fried rice and add a can of this to give me much more chicken in the dish. Sometimes just eat it straight out of the can. Just lean white meat. No fat globules or mystery bits.
This Great Value canned Chunk Chicken is just the most handiest meal or snack ever. I mean maybe you just got home from work, you're really hungry, and you don't want to cook right? well no problem! and I really like these too because you can just pop open the top you don't even need a can opener and that's important for me. a lot of people! so you just rinse this, I rinse it with water first, and then maybe you put some light mayo in there mix it up maybe some dill relish or something and you have got a delicious meal or snack and probably less than 3 minutes right! and I give my dog some of this for treats sometimes I mean she loves it too! this is affordable it's got a lot of protein it's one of my favorite go-to's! and I always stock up on this because you're just never going to know when you need it you could probably even make some really good homemade soup with this I just thought of that like chicken noodle or something! wow the possibilities go on and on! in the comments let me know what you're going to make!
I used to buy this type of canned chicken at Costco. I decided to try Great Value brand and was hooked. I cook this with Great Value frozen broccoli and olive oil,in the oven. Really tasty.
Convenient chicken in a can !! I use this chicken for my chicken and dumplings and also for a salad ! There's allot of chicken in the can for the price , so most definitely you are getting your moneys worth. Hood flavor as well . Very juicy !!
Works good in recipes. I add broth, seasoning and sometimes plain. Pantry kept and preparation is as simple as opening a can. I gave a 4 because sometimes it's a little mushier than i like. Still fine just my preference.
I'm not really a big fan of chicken, so buying raw chicken is something I seldom do. So when I need some chicken for a recipe (soup, casserole) this is just the ticket. The meat is tasty and you can't beat the convenience.
This smoked beef will never run out of uses and relevance. Hoerdourves, grilling in concert with other Walmart delectibles, mix with some fine grillin beans or a fast sandwich your gonna feel like ya went all out for yourself
This chicken is good to use in recipes but there's a good amount of yellow fat I have to pick off. For the price that doesn't bother me but some people might be grossed out by it. It's very flavorful. I put it in Mac n Cheese and it's really tasty.
Tons of water in the can, so you lose a lot of value unfortunately. Best for chicken salads, pot pies, or soups, but NOT for pasta or stir-fry, because it breaks apart very easily. Despite other negative reviews, it was all chicken breast with no gross bits! The taste is good, but this product is only worth it if you NEED your chicken to be canned.
I'm a vegetarian but I purchase meat products for my husband and our children. I got this the other day for the first time and they were very inexpensive and super easy to prep!!! My husband didn't really like them and my kids said they were okay and they'd eat them if they had to but they weren't their favorite by any means.
