This bleach is a solid budget-friendly household staple that performs well for everyday cleaning and disinfecting needs. It works effectively for whitening laundry, removing stains, and sanitizing surfaces when used correctly and diluted according to instructions. One of its biggest strengths is the value for the size, the 121 fl oz bottle lasts a long time, especially for routine household use. It has a similar performance to name-brand bleach products, making it a practical choice if you're trying to save money without sacrificing cleaning power. The scent is strong, as expected from bleach, so good ventilation is necessary during use. The bottle design is standard and easy to pour carefully, though like most bleach containers, it can still be a bit heavy and awkward when full. Overall, this is a reliable, cost-effective bleach that does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's not fancy, but it's dependable for cleaning, disinfecting, and laundry care.
Bleach disinfects against bacteria, mold, fungi, and viruses. I use is every time when cleaning dog/cat poop scoopers; and I use it occasionally for cleaning countertops, bathtubs, sinks, etc. No need to use each and every time unless there is a need for deep disinfecting. Bleach works very well for brightening laundry whites. (Do not use bleach for colored items.) Bleach kills weeds. Sometimes I use bleach undiluted, but I normally dilute bleach as follows: 1 TBS bleach mixed with 1 QT of water. Every home should have bleach on hand. However, BLEACH SHOULD ALWAYS BE KEPT OUT OF REACH OF SMALL CHILDREN AND ANIMALS. Great Value Concentrated Liquid Bleach --the name says it all !
Great Value Concentrated Liquid Bleach is an excellent value. I use it as a bathroom disinfectant and laundry additive. The smell can be overwhelming in an enclosed environment. I make sure to use it in a well ventilated space. I find that it whitens well when used in diluted strength. When diluted, it is exceptionally economical. I have successfully whitened discolored linens using this bleach.
I bought this 121 fl oz jug of Great Value bleach because I go through bleach like it's water. Between whitening my towels, disinfecting my kitchen counters, and keeping my bathroom tiles looking clean, I was buying those smaller bottles constantly and paying way too much. The 121 ounce size made sense for the price, and the concentrated formula means I use less per load. The first thing I noticed when I poured it is that the jug has this side-shift bottle design that's supposed to prevent the "glug" and messy splashes. That is not entirely true. It's better than a regular jug, but I still managed to dribble some on the floor when I was filling my measuring cup. If you're clumsy like me, keep a paper towel nearby. The smell is classic bleach. I got the regular version, so it's that sharp, clean, hospital-like scent that tells you it's working. Not pleasant, but also not as overpowering as some industrial bleaches I've used. It's strong enough that I open a window when I'm cleaning the bathroom with it. Performance-wise, this stuff is no joke. I used it to get some stubborn coffee stains out of a white shirt. Soaked it for about 10 minutes with a diluted solution, and the stain was completely gone. It also works great for disinfecting surfaces. I follow the directions and let it sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing. It definitely kills germs—my kitchen counters feel actually clean, not just wiped down. One thing I noticed is that the jug is huge. It's a little awkward to handle when it's full. I've been using it to refill a smaller spray bottle for daily cleaning, which is way easier than hoisting this big thing every time. I'm hoping this jug lasts me a good while before the bleach starts to lose its potency. So far, it's been a solid workhorse for keeping my house clean and my whites bright. For the price, it's hard to beat. Turns my whites white and my counters sterile, just don't pour like a maniac
This bleach is a great price point and is just as good as any other name or store brand on the market. This bleach is more concentrated so it's perfect for extra whitening on fabrics or as a cleaning solution for a bathtub. I use this on the shower floor once a month or so to get rid of any soap scum. Simply pouring a bit of this over the shower floor and letting it sit for 15 or so many minutes gets rid of it all.
This GV bleach compares well to the name brand. It is easy to pour and stores easily in my under sink cabinet. I use it for cleaning and laundry and it has served me well. It does not have any kind of pungent/offensive smell. The reason I couldn't give it a five star rating is the HUGE price jump. I do not know why this GV bleach has had such a severe price increase but it is still much less price than the name brand bleach. Tis GV bleach is a good bleach product.
The last two gallons of Great Value bleach I purchased in the last 30 days had the sealed paper tops (inside the blue plastic cap) opened. One paper top seal was dirty around the edges like it had been opened and closed many times, WHAT IS GOING ON ??? . The Managers at the Stuart, FL Supercenter, south Stuart, need to be informed. We, the people who rely on deliveries and cannot check a product before we buy it, have to rely on the Shopper and the Managers to not be taken advantage of. In addition: Yes, bleach loses its potency when exposed to air. Oxygen accelerates the breakdown of sodium hypochlorite (the active ingredient in bleach) into salt and water. Once exposed or left in an open container, bleach degrades rapidly and becomes significantly less effective at disinfecting. CAN YOU PLEASE GET ME AN UNOPENED A PROPERLY SEALED 121 FL.OZ. BOTTLE OF GREAT VALUE BLEACH, THANK YOU.
Jul 16, 2026 order| Order%23 2000149-27550311 I have had recent lengthy communications with “Walmart” customer service. I am a Walmart customer. I pay an annual fee for what I thought would be an enhanced premium service. However, there was nothing enhanced about this communication. It was frustrating and unproductive. The experience was intensely inferior to the “regular customer service” I've experienced from other online stores. Phrases referring to understanding my frustration became background noise in each response. And actual useful information was nonexistent. My Walmart same day delivery service turned into a 5-6 day refund policy. And the AI technology claimed not to know how to connect me to a real person. This was “Customer Service?” The driver attempted delivery on July 16th but was unsuccessful. (I live in a retirement community and the doors are locked in the evening.) However, there was no notification email or any communication at all concerning my delayed order. Plus the order has had a “delayed” status ever since. Additional info: The photo of the delivered item was not taken at my apartment door. It was a photo of a delivery at another apartment in the building. The “1 minute cutoff communication policy” may work well for healthier customers but can be stressful for the elderly or handicapped customer. I exceeded the one minute rule 3 times. The AI communicated compassion and understanding but still cut me off at the one minute pause time limit. The main reason I signed up for the Walmart service is because I no longer drive. T\However, this can make returning merchandise to the store difficult and more expensive than the merchandise may be worth. Tomorrow is day 3 of my Walmart same day delivery service. So far my experience with Walmart communication isn't “communication” at all. Prove me wrong with a helpful customer friendly response. Thank you, Mary B
The container leaks if it is stored on its side. And if you order store pickup, it will be stored on its side and leak into the plastic grocery bag because the bleach bottle is too tall to fit in the storage bins that delivery handlers use to store pickup orders
The item was not delivered twice. Returned to the store twice. I had to cancel the item and request a refund. However, Walmart refused to refund the full amount of the purchase. Claiming the price changed the day I placed my order. (Roll back) And no one would check the invoice to see what I was actually charged for the item. I am not happy with Walmart short-changing me.
