The product was great. Walmart has failed to make my delivery twice in a row. It like the driver can just decide they dont want to make their delivery so they cancel your order. I get paid once a month, and when they cancel your order that puts your money on hold. You cant touch your own money for up to 10 days. So you didnt get what you asked for, and you cant get it now for another 10 days. That sucks!
These are wonderful and will see compared to all the brand names as well. Everyone in the household loves them and you get paying for your buck when comparing to brand names if your budget shopping and everything it's the way to go and even when you're not budget shopping it is the way to go because the quality is worth the money And more than the quality being worth of money I mean, it's worth saving the money that you would save you know in comparison to these to brand name because I wouldn't say you get much better value and namebrand
My son (14) prefers these over the brand name Pop Tarts. Along with the price, this makes it a winner for me. Usually buy several boxes at a time because the stores closest to me don't always have in stock. My son eats for breakfast during the week and as a snack whenever he is wanting something sweet.
I tried Great Value Frosted Cherry Toaster Pastries, when I couldn't purchase the item I was looking for. These toaster pastries were a pleasant surprise. The outer edges of the pastries are crunchy and there is plenty of cherry filling inside, unlike the name brand that has cut down on their filling content. The price provides a great value for the family food budget and they are great for meals and on the go snacking.
I tried these recently after not having them for a long time. The last time i had the Pop Tart brand Cherry. Those were not good. I thought i would try them %26 if i didnt like them i could find them a home with one of my neighbors. Once again the store brand is 1,000 times better .
My husband prefers these over the brand name! He says they have more filling and and overall better taste, the kids like them as well. I just wish the stores would stock them a little bit better as often they're unavailable.,, and please bring back the blueberry !!!!
I had been wanting poptarts at a certain point last year, and Ik Kelloggs doesn't agree with my stomach so once I tried strawberry it was so good! I'm definitely gonna keep buying these as dis is like my third time buying tha cherry(strawberry too) lol. I really want them to make blueberry and maybe a mixed berry. I don't have a toaster anymore, but it still hits in tha microwave.
I just had a craving for some fruit flavored pastries. I got these because they were inexpensive and they had some good reviews. For the price, they were great! I just prefer a little bit more fruit which I can't really ask for in a toaster pastry. I didn't have any problems getting them down lol. I think kids would love them and adults would enjoy them as well. The filling did have a good cherry flavor and I like their icing.
This was the first time we tried these, and they were really bad, which was quite surprising and disappointing because the other flavors of Walmart/GV Poptarts that we are accustomed to have always been every bit as good as the brand name Poptarts even though they are cheaper, and that is the case with many Great Value products. There are even some GV products that are better than the brand names they are copying. The chocolate crust GV Poptarts with chocolate filling are the best of all, and they are sweet but they taste like chocolate (although we could live without the icing on all of them). Granted we are not talking about gourmet pastry or outstanding nutrition. They're Poptarts. You don't even have to heat them up. But Poptarts have their place. You can have one with coffee at work or in between classes, especially when you won't even have time to eat a bowl of cereal, and if you don't want to sit in a drive-thru for a breakfast sandwich that costs $4 you can just eat your Poptarts in the car. We are not anti-Poptarts. I can't explain why these cherry ones were so bad, but wow, There was defininitely nothibg remotely like a cherry taste, including maraschino or cocktail cherries, not even like food. They have an almost chemical, synthetic taste and strong smell. air doesn't taste like a chemical but the smell makes you think if nail polish, perfume or a cleaning product. It's nauseating. I don't think they were spoiled. I don't know if it's a problem with the filling or the icing or the red coloring or what but its just a bad recipe. Also, the plain crust part was not gross; it still tastes about as much like pie crust as the crust of brandname Poptarts. It was not rancid or funny tasting. But there is not much crust around the edges and as soon as you get to the sweet part it hits you. We will keep getting the chocolate, cookies %26 cream, and brown sugar %26 cinnamon GV Poptardts, no complaints. (We don't like the s'mores because they are just too sweet, like candy, but they do taste like legit s'mores.) We almost got a box of strawberry ones this time toobl but instead got more chocolate. If we had, maybe we would have known it was just the cherry was bad or maybe we would have blown our Poptart budget. we will never know. PS We really like the GV granola bars that come in apple and berry fillings, GV instant oatmeal and GV clones of cookies. They all taste like they are supposed to without this weird artificial or chemical problem. It's history now. Thank you.
My fiance and I both love cherry flavored foods. They like other great value toaster pastries, and we got a cherry flavored box as a substitution. We opened it to try together. it smelled horrifically artificial and powerful to the both of us. Despite this, we broke one in half to try, and took a single tiny bite and didn't hate it... it was more weird than anything. We then took a *slightly* larger bite... and we both regret it. It was way beyond any artificial flavored thing we have ever had... medicine included. And it lingers... no matter what we try. We both upset our stomach, even though my fiance has a really strong stomach. We write this together as a warning to others...
