I use this for anything that I bake in the oven. It works like a charm and all the food is contained in an aluminum bundle. No oven mess. Then, I use the clean edges of foil and sharpen my scissors by cutting into the foil that I will discard anyway.
Foil is heavy duty as expected. General Question: Well over a half century of humans using aluminium foil and nobody has designed a simple, inexpensive way to dispense it? Someone, please, enlighten me. Box with a sharp strip of teeth sticking up towards our fingers is neanderthal...
Love this stuff! Yes, it's somewhat laziness %26/or wasteful to cover my cookie sheets so I can easily dispose of any sticky messiness instead of fighting to get them scrubbed clean. AND this exta wide foil is a bit more expensive... I do keep both sizes on hand. With my extra large pans, one sheet of this size (1%26done) is both more effective %26 actually less expensive, than having to use 2 lengths of the 12" wide overlapping in center to cover 14 inch wide sheets / pans. Thankful Great Value makes it more affordable. Mind you, I am capable of rinsing %26 reusing when it does not get terribly messy. And I grew up washing bread bags for reuse instead of buying sandwich bags. I am NOT a wasteful person. But thankful to be able to toss the messiness when oven baked "fried" foods get greasy %26/or stick to the foil. 😉😘
I use this the most when I am smoking meat specifically making pulled pork.I will cook the meat for at least four hours on the rack to take in the smoke flavor but then will transfer to aluminum pans and seal the top with this foil to keep the moisture in for the remainder of the cook.It is a great product.I recommend it.
Bought this online, so the length was a total surprise to me. I haven't had it rip on me and it holds my cooking "spills". It is thin enough that it heats wonderfully in the oven, but the thickness is enough to do anything that I need it to do. When you buy this, just be aware of the LENGTH of the roll. It surprised me, but oddly enough, it is working out perfectly for our household.
This great value brand tinfoil is just as good as the expensive brands because at the end of the day it's getting thrown away so if you can save some money by buying the “generic” brands and get a product that's comparable to the name brand why wouldn't you
This is my first time buying the extra wide aluminum foil. I don't know why I haven't before cause I always end up putting two pieces together to cover a large pot or pan. Using this is so much better and faster. This is a quality aluminum foil at a reasonable price.
I used this foil to line the bottom of my electric Weber grill, making cleanup a breeze. It is just as good as the name-brand foil that I've purchased all of my life. In the future, I'll be purchasing this foil and saving money without compromising quality.
Like having this on hand and being able to cover an entire tray of food with one piece of foil instead of needing to use two smaller pieces from the regular size roll I have for covering smaller items.
Width is perfect, durable and doesn't rip when you are using it. Perfect size for lining my casserole dish and roasting pan. Was more durable than I expected and tears easily from the box.
