These LED bulbs are perfect for decent, more natural lighting in the bathroom. I would suggest that if planning to use through-out the home, one should use ALL daylight bulbs or ALL soft-white bulbs. When some bulbs are daylight and some are soft-white, the soft-white bulbs will look quite "dingy" and yellowish. By using just daylight bulbs in one room (example: bathroom) the contrast will not be so obvious. The price for these bulbs purchased at Walmart is about the cheapest found.
I bought two packs of these. We just moved, and when we got there to clean, we switched out all the light bulbs. These are best for in multi light fixutres, such as ceiling lights and over the bathroom sink. I strongly dislike WARM WHITE which cover everything in this sick yellow light. THESE are very bright, and provide a beautiful clean white light.
I have been using these bulbs for over six years now. I dont even remember when was the last time that we bought these. I only bought these hundred watt bulbs because we wanted more lights. We are using 60 W bulbs. They consume less electricity and the light is equivalent to the regular bulbs. I highly recommend these bulbs.
I never thought I'd be excited about light bulbs, but after not having bright light for awhile, it feels really good to have it again, not to mention electricity and hot and cold running water. These LED light bulbs really are better than the light bulbs we've been using. I tend to buy what I think is the cheapest available, and my husband had been buying the CFL kind. I think we will be using LEDs from now on. They have a longer lifespan, the price for these is reasonable, compared to what my husband had been choosing. But we didn't have any that were like a 100w of light. I've never tried this kind of LED, except the round globes in the bathroom. I didn't know that fourteen watts was like having a 100 watt bulb. These seem brighter than a regular 100 watt bulb, though. I thought the box would tell what the white coating at the base means. I thought it was so that people could touch it without reducing the lifespan of the bulb. We always put on latex gloves to change light bulbs. It would be so nice not to have to do that. The performance that I received from these has earned its place on my grocery list.
These are great light bulbs, So much better than incandescent bulbs. First they produce great lighting without the heat. Second they do not use as much energy as the old bulbs and third they do not shatter if you happen to drop it. The bulbs also last a lot longer than incandescent bulbs. So you can't lose with these bulbs. They do cost a little more to buy but the money you will save on energy and not having to replace them nearly as often pays for them. The light they produce is a clean bright light and since they do not produce heat you will never get burned if you touch one while its on.
These bulbs came as a welcome replacement for the old incandescent ones that produced a dreaded yellow light and were eating up energy like hungry. Now these Great Value bulbs are 60 watt equivalent but don't let this fool you because they actually use only 9 watts and are also shatter resistant. I am using three of them right now for the bathroom vanity. These bulbs while not exactly globe shape, are actually quite close. All three fit perfectly, look great and use less energy. They are somewhat smaller than their predecessors and look fantastic. These bulbs will last a long time, their lifespan is 7 to 9 years that means less maintenance. The soft white light they emanate, is beautiful. No more changing light bulbs for me that makes my life so much easier. I am very happy with my new LED bulbs by Great Value and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.
I like this lightbulb as it gives off a nice, bright glow. I have a beige lampshade and it shines nicely through it. It resembles a regular lightbulb but with a white base. No trouble with screwing it into the socket. Look forward to having this lightbulb for years to come.
I have been changing all the light bulbs in my house to LED and so far real happy with these bulbs performance. I do like the daylight more than the LED soft whites as they are brighter and less amber to the light they emit. The only question which only time can tell is what their longevity will be. I do like LED technology in that they put out very little heat so power used is much lower than any other type bulbs, they are bright, and made with plastic not glass for the bulb casing. Led's will not dim over time like other bulbs. I am also using LED technology for my cars so as the bulbs go I replace them with LED"s.
Compared to my regular lightbulbs, this gives off more of a soft yellow natural light glow. It's not harsh on the eyes, and isn't so bright its blinding. I believe I will be changing out my other bulbs to match this one. It gives off a warm undertone that is somewhat relaxing. The bulb is shatter proof and when it's been on a while, you can still grab it and it doesn't burn your fingers.
Great bulbs if you enjoy changing light bulbs and within a couple of months buying more. You will start to get a random flicker from time to time then nothing at all. Have had several since previous homeowner had them all over the house. Bought a couple of packs thinking maybe he got some bad ones and the house was built in 2014 that maybe they have been in here since new. From my experience since they have likely been changed about a dozen times or so since they built the house. Will not be buying more. Have had good luck with GE so far. They need to change 9 year claim to 9 hours…..Literally
