My husband is always saying if he had potato chips to go with ? but he complains about the salt content in about everything I buy. I had a hankering for potato chips and purchased these. I'm used to salty chips and I feel I need salt sometimes. I tried these and at first I wasn't getting my fix. I munched on them a week before I decided I really liked tasting more of the potato than the salt. I will purchase these the next time I get a potato chip craving.
Just wish shrinkflation didn't put less in the bag but compared to other chips, it's the best bang for your buck. They are better than Lays in my opinion and don't sit heavy in your stomach. You don't have half the chips crushed at the bottom of the bag like alot of thinner chips and I like that they make them with less salt also. WalMart has stepped up their game on their brand products.
Another GV item joins my Walmart Affordability Menu program. To get Free Delivery you need to meet the $35 minimum. Working from Your Walmart Affordability Menu Program list you can meet the minimum more often. I kept track of how many times I had to spend time/money going to the store over six months. Found I made half as many trips. Also, With the saving from gas/time, I was able to add more items, for the same amount. Eating better!!
These are such a better value than the normal brand name chips. Not nearly as pricey, and the flavor and crunch are every bit as good as any brand that is out there. They travel well, and bags don't get smashed up and chips broken up. These are now the only ridged chips I bother to get.
Crunchy, not greasy, thin and crisp, these chips beat Lay's in both flavor and price. Get the Great Value brand lightly salted style chips, you won't be disappointed. From my own experience, I find most regular potato chips to be incredibly salty, which is off-putting to me. These chips have the right amount of salt that adds to, rather than overpowers, the potato flavor of the chips. The price even beats the less frequent times that Lay's is on sale. Walmart's Great Value brand hit this one out of the park.
These are my favorite chips. They are much less salty than the original and pairs perfectly with dip. The chips are a nice a size but I have to warn that a large majority of them particularly in the party size are broken and crushed in the bottom of the bag. Part of this is partly due to how they're handled. When I go inside the store and travel the chip aisle the Great Value chips are always smashed together on the wire rack shelf which creates the crushed chips. I understand that they want product on the shelf but these should be given some space to keep the quality in check.
These are better than Lays Lightly Salted Chips. They are all bigger and no bad chips. I was buying Lays and found out Walmart carries their own brand. I thought I'd give them a try. This is the fourth time ordering , and I keep them in the pantry. These are really good and I recommend them. I will keep on buying these!!
These are definitely low on salt but they just don't have the good flavor that the regular chips have. They were very big and crunchy and they didn't have bunches of crumbs in the bottom of the bags. I definitely like that. They are just low on flavor. My husband and I may try them again anyway. Perhaps we just got a bad bag.
I have been pleased with great value chips for a long time but the last 5 bags that I have purchased have been really bad. The chips have black spots everywhere. It appears that rotten potatoes are being used to make the chips. What happened Walmart????
Just received my delivery. As soon as I opened the bag to enjoy some the majority of the chips were mostly burned and crushed. I don't know if this happened during packaging, transit or stocking, but unacceptable. I will be returning these to the store and no longer purchase. Time to go back to Lay's!!
