Great Value Organic Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil, 29 fl oz

I use this ( a lot ) to make my own chocolate, for chocolate bars. I'm T2 Diabetic and stay away from sugars that are used in ordinary bars. Not the cheapest product around, but reasonable price , and quality is quite good. This is not "refined" which, means it has a distinct ( and pleasant ) coconut flavor to it.... you won't find that in refined products. Healthy also, made of medium chain triglyceride ( MCT ) fats, do your own reading on the topic, the body does not store these as fat. Melts at about 74 Farenheit, very stable, does not spoil at room temp for several months. Good as a cooking oil also, I use a tablespoon in a soup pot, for making popcorn.

i rarely eat fried foods and not many dishes that call for it. i use butter and now i use half butter and half coconut oil in baking. it give brownies a hint of coconut making them very tastie. i put in smoothies and it makes little crunchy little bits that are delicious.

Coconut oil is a staple in our home and this brand is okay. I did notice that there was a bit of yellow tint in the oil at the bottom of the jar. I have never seen that before. I put it in a warm spot to liquify it to pour it out. It was almost impossible to see at that point and the oil tasted fine. We use it in our dog's homemade food, and when baking we use coconut oil instead of regular oil on most recipes. We also keep two squeeze bottles of oil in our bathroom, one for us and one for the dogs. It is great to apply a small amount on any dry spots. and hair. The dogs love it on their noses, paws, fur, eyes and ears. Plus then they smell great too.

It's been about a month, and I can honestly say this has made a huge difference! My senior dog used to have accidents during the night even though he is fully potty trained. I've been putting this coconut oil in my coffee every morning for several years now. It tastes delicious and sets me up for ketosis all day. Quality coconut oil , kept in an ait tight jar, doesn't go bad...so it makes sense to save money by buying the larger size. I removed a star for unreasonable price increases.

online marketing was INCORRECT, I ordered from the picture of the jar of coconut oil which clearly stated it was cold pressed, apparently the written specs says expeller pressed which was NOT what I wanted due to its higher processing temperature. My bottle I received clearly says expeller pressed instead of the picture of what I ordered and wanted which says cold pressed. I pulled security seal before noticing it was wrong so I don't think I can return it. I would like some kind of compensation due to the fact I spent a fair length of time locating what I wanted and paid for it and now have a product I didn't order.
