Hostess was once a good product. After Hostess disappeared and then returned, their products have declined in size, taste and overall quality. These Great Value snowball cup cakes are tastier and larger than the Hostess versions, for less money. I miss the old Hostess products. But, Hostess is gone. Their name is purchased by an inferior manufacturer, just as so many other familiar quality brands have had their brand names purchased, to deceive customers. I highly recommend Great Value Snowballs, Nutty Bars and Cup cakes. All better than their Hostess versions. I would like to see Great Value come out with their version of Twinkies and Ding Dongs. Would be cool if Great Value came out with their version of King Dons too. King Dons were the best! Much better than Hostess. Highly Recommended
These Snowballs taste much better than Hostess brand. They are much softer. We cannot find them in our Tri-State area. My husband tracked these down while he was travelling through Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas. He bought 14 boxes of them and they are in my freezer. They should last about one year.
these pink snowballs are the best. they are always fresh, have more cream in the middle, larger and are not as expensive as the Hostess version. This last order i made, they must have been out of them or the person doing my shopping for me didn't find them and replaced them with the Hostess ones. The Hostess ones cost twice as much, were smaller in size and tastes stale fresh out of the box. I guess this this is an item i will personally go to Walmart to buy rather than leave it up to someone else to not find them and replace with junk, cause thats where them Hostess ones went right into the junk can.
My Mother always loved snowballs and now that her memory is going, this treat from her younger days is one she still remembers and enjoys. My Grandchildren had never tried them so now a new generation is enjoying Snowballs. Thanks!
Love these snow balls. I craved them 50 years ago lol and still eating them. LoL My daughter even craved them when she was pregnant like me. lol And we still love them frozen.
Absolutely delicious. I think these snowballs taste just like the name brand. Will purchase these from now on and save some money compared to the name brand. Highly recommend!!
Haven't Tried The “Snowball Snack Cakes” Yet. So Cannot RATE On Taste %26 Texture. My Only Issue. **It's A BIG ONE For Me.** We Looked Everywhere %26 Cannot FIND…••THE EXPIRATION DATE ANYWHERE?!?••. That Is, “A HUGE” Deal For %26 To Me. I Know, Some People..NEVER EVEN LOOK!! I CHECK EVERYTHING %26 EVERY ITEM…And People Would BE SURPRISED 😳…Just How MANY ITEMS, “ARE OUT OF DATE!!” One Of My HUGE PET PEVE'S!
They're just as good as the name brand ones only less expensive. I usually get them during the summer since they are one of the few snack treats that doesn't get melty in the heat. Unfortunately they don't seem to carry them at my local Walmart anymore.
I'd say the marshmallow part is okay and not like your moon cake consistency. the inside of the cake part is crumbly and just a bit off putting. it's our first time ordering and unfortunately only got to try 2 and gave the rest away as it just sat in our pantry. it maybe someone else's favorite but just not for our household. chocolate is a cheap chocolate flavor unlike the great value swiss rolls.
The marshmallow coconut top and the filling are good, but the chocolate cake part is very dry and crumbly. Would be nicer if the cake was more moist and had a stronger chocolate flavor.
