The great value pitcher filter is a great price and also a great replacement filter for the Brita water filtration system pitcher. It has very easy to understand instructions, similar to the one that comes with the Brita Pitcher. And it provides great tasting water at a good price. The water taste fresh and clean when ran threw the filter in the pitcher, if you compare it to just drinking water from the tap you can taste a big difference in the water non filtered you can taste a after taste in your mouth that's gross. But out of this filtered pitcher it leaves a clean taste in your mouth, a very close one taste to some bottled water. I believe the filter is a great price a great replacement filter. By using this product you will help cut down on the plastic bottles use and save money too.I recommend this product for use in your filter pitchers it is a great price and a great product.
The Great Value Pitcher Cartridge is easy to use and gives you some peace of mind by providing cleaner drinking water for you and your loved ones. This product fits the Great Value pitcher and the competitor's Brita pitcher. Using this cartridge makes your tap water taste better. The coconut shell-activated carbon filter reduces dangerous elements in your drinking water such as chlorine, mercury, and copper. The Great Value Pitcher Cartridge is made of sturdy, ion exchange resin. You can feel good purchasing this filter, you will save money, since each filter lasts about two months, or up to 40 gallons, or 300 16 oz. water bottles and do your part to help the environment.
I enjoy drinking alot of water, especially clean tasting water, but I don't want to pay for bottled water and create tons of plastic waste. This filter is a great way to drink clean, good tasting water without spending alot of money or creating unnecessary plastic waste.
I used this with my Britain's pitcher it fit perfect. Usuing the filter really saves you money on bottled water. Plus helps the earth by not creating more trash. I think the filer takes all the impurities out of the water making it palpable to you, this filer should last at least 40 gallons of water. So very cost saving. I forgot to rinse before using and had no problems with taste of water.
I received this Great Value Universal Water Pitcher Filter as part of a review program. I have used them previously and was quite pleased to have been able to select one as part of a review. Water filters for pitchers can be pricey. This filter works great removing nasty tasting chlorine, sulphur, minerals, etc. Out of my water. I put this filter in my Brita water pitcher. I soak it first as described and then rinse it well before placing it into my Brita receptical. My drinking water is crystal clear with no chemical taste. I also give it to my cat as she will not drink the chlorinated water in my home. This Great Value Brand saves me money compared to the Brand name. I do recommend it.
I have a Brita pitcher I've used for probably half a year now and I received this great value universal pitcher filter replacement. It was a bit snug to fit in at first, but after getting it wet and soaking it was pretty easy to get in. I honestly cant tell a taste difference between using name brand filters and this great value filter. Why pay more when this works amazingly just the same! We've been using it for almost two weeks now and its still working great. The instructions say to discard the first two pitchers of water by watering plants or disgarding. I have attached a photo of the contaminates this filter reduces or eliminates.
I used to buy these all the time! It's way more inexpensive to purchase a filter that lasts two months vs overpriced gallons of water. I already had my own pitcher so popping in the filter is all it needed for clean fresh water for the next two months.
This works just as well as the name brand and not as expensive, although it's cheaper to get the multi pack and not just one. it takes our city water and makes it completely drinkable- takes out all the aftertaste, I don't have any problems whatsoever so it's well worth it. I know people who have used the name brands and I drank water from them and there's no difference to me in the Great Value brand so I would never use anything but this in the future. Why pay more when you get the same results?! Perhaps the people who had problems just happened to get a lemon-or didnt follow directions- but I have never had a problem and I'm highly satisfied. Some places do have higher sediment content in the water and that could cause clogs and slow filtering but you simply need to follow the instructions-take it out turn it upside down and wash it out and it works just fine. Mine has never been too slow filtering. They're extremely easy to use -no problems there. I have recommended it to everyone I know and everyone in my family uses them. We buy the multi packs and split them between us to save money. I've also not had a problem with it lasting as long as it says and we drink a lot of water. Overall opinion is at a satisfactory product that saves me money so why pay more just for a name?!
I got this in hopes that it would work for our Brita water system but it does not. I'm not quite sure what other brands they are compatible with but I tried it with my Brita stream and it did not fit. It seems pretty durable and it's just like the brand name filter so I would highly recommend for whatever brand that is used for.
I received this filter free through the Wal-Mart Spark Reviewer Program for my honest opinion. I was surprised to read that this filter only reduces 5 contaminants and substances compared to my previous filter that reduces 58 and removes 95% lead because the water tastes exactly the same and I have not felt any difference stomach wise after drinking my water. This could be because my tap water is good to begin with, but I like this filter and I would definitely use it again.
