These bags are definitely a great value , really…. Who wants to pay for garbage bags? I try to put as much household waste as I can in recycle or leftover grocery bags , but at some point you gotta have the big bag to take to the dumpster…these bags hold a lot and do not leak or puncture easily
These trash bags are surprisingly well made. I used to buy a warehouse brand for years, but after trying these, I completely switched. The plastic feels thicker and tougher, and the drawstrings are sturdy enough to tie without tearing or slipping. Even when I overload them a little, they never break or leak, which says a lot. The fit is perfect for standard kitchen cans, and they stay in place without slipping down inside. I also like that they’re unscented, which keeps things simple and clean-smelling without that strong artificial scent some other bags have. For something you use every day, the quality makes a difference, and these really hold up. It’s one of those Great Value products that lives up to the name and performs just as well as the big brands, maybe even better. I’m honestly very happy with them and plan to stick with this line from now on. My helpful tip: Double knot the drawstrings before carrying out heavy loads-it gives you a little extra grip and peace of mind.
I tried other name brand 13 gal strong flex bags and had to buy Great Value one time because that was all they had on the shelf in that size. Well let me tell you I was NOT expecting the same quality as Glad but I was so impressed with these bags that they're the only ones I buy. Why pay more for a name and prettier packaging?
One star off because “unscented with odor control” apparently means “lightly scented.” There's definitely a whiff of artificial fragrance, which I don't want (often store linens etc. in trash bags). I guess you get what you pay for. A good unit price, just disappointed there's no Great Value trash bags that are actually without scent added
I bought these hoping for a basic, unscented trash bag—but like many others lately, they still have a noticeable scent despite the label. It's frustrating how hard it's become to find genuinely unscented options. Functionally, they're also flimsier than expected. The drawstring often breaks, and the bags themselves tear more easily than they should. For the price, they're passable in a pinch, but I won't be buying them again.
I didn't request this product. I normally get the Great Value 13 Gallon Regular Kitchen garbage bags, but they were out of stock. This was recommended by Walmart as a replacement. Since, I've used them, they're cheaper in value compared to the regular bags. The handles rip out of the bag when sealing. The bags get holes easier, not recommended as a tough bag just for light duty
These bags are labeled "unscented," but they still have a noticeable smell—definitely not what you'd expect if you're trying to avoid added fragrance. The drawstrings are flimsy and often break, and the bags themselves tear too easily, especially when handling heavier loads. They’re budget-friendly, but the quality just isn’t there. Between the misleading scent and poor durability, I won’t be buying these again.
These garbage bags are literally garbage. It seems that they were made wrong and every single bag rips at the top seam, causing the drawstring to pull out. So you end up with a bag full of garbage that spills out the side and cannot be tied closed. Sometimes it's one side, sometimes both sides.
these bags are a total waste of money. 80% of the bags I have used already, which is about a third of the box, have had the strings break on me. absolutely worthless. I usually like Great value products but I recommend looking for a different one because this one is horrible.
This product is a prime example of Walmart shrinkflation. It cost more than the previous Great Value 13-gallon bag AND is way thinner and prone to tearing. "Flex" is a marketing term for thinner and prone to tearing. I'd give it zero starts if I could.
