I replaced 2 of the 4 burned out fluorescent bulbs in my kitchen fixture and it is a lot brighter than when all 4 of those were working. I may never add the missing 2 back in, as I can see very clearly thanks to these leds. No flicker and assuredly a cheaper electric bill now.
These LED bulbs replace floroescent bulbs in the 'shop light' in my basement. They were easy to install, --just like the fluro bulbs. They are very bright, in a warm white hue. My fluro bulbs lasted more than 30 years! And, when they stopped working, they became hazardous waste, due to the mercury. I had to follow strict disposal procedures. These LEDs claim to last 44 years.
no basements in Texas, but you really get a warm light in the garage. Be sure and read the instructions because they actually tell you how to line up the bulb prongs correctly.
these LED lamps are a great deal! I like that there are different color temperature options and I don't have to worry about rewiring the ballast, I just take out the old fluorescent and pop these things in. they are very bright! honestly, they were almost too bright in my drop ceiling basement, so I flipped them over so that LEDs were on top and It offered a more diffused light. I tried these out and two fixtures and will now be installing them in every fixture as the fluorescence burn out.
These T8 bulbs have metal ends instead of plastic TCP makes them for great value, the plastic piece around the pins came loose on a few of these but for the most part we didn't have any issues. They fit most of our Fluorescent fixtures from 2001 and 2016.
It works perfectly as a replacement bulb or a fluorescent, but the color was not what I was expecting; it's too yellow instead of white.
Works great for its purpose, however compared to other soft white lighting in my home it is more yellow than I would like.
One box was just fine but the other box had 3 broken bulbs. The delivery driver was really nice but she had to call as the directions sent her somewhere else. She seemed gentle with them so not sure how they were broken.
Daylight tubes are way too bright, almost blinding. Soft white tubes are an intense earie pink, not like soft white and still too bright compared to cool white fluorescents they replaced. Cool white appears to be unavailable. And these tubes get burning hot, much hotter than other Leds or fluorescents. They also heat up the ballast until it goes into protection and shuts off in an hour or less! This in three different totally open shop lights with no sides or bottom. WARNING! DO NOT TRY TO USE IN ANY APPLICATION REQUIRING ALL DAY USE, COMMERCIAL OR OTHERWISE, AND DEFINITELY NOT IN A CONFINED SPACE FIXTURE. For this purpose, use a tube that requires you to bypass the ballast, or buy a whole new led fixture. See other reviews for tube life.
One tube end connectors already broken when I opened the box ! Takes two good tubes to Complete the replacement ! The price savings on Walmart brand was just 15% so the time and trouble of getting a refund and replacing the tubes with a better quality upgrade, definitely was not worth a positive DIY deal!
