Not designed for heavy loads, but I usually (successfully) throw away my cat's used litter (about 60 pounds) and these bags hold it just fine; been doing so for years; so, these are STRONG bags! That said, last week a bag failed and cat litter went everywhere. (You don't want to know the cleanup I had on my hands, lol.) SO....I recommend for very heavy garbage loads, you double-bag them, to prevent failure of the bag. For everyday kitchen garbage, I recommend you double-line your trash can, and if upon removing the inner bag, if there's no leak of failure of the material, just reline, using only only one bag. Leaks? 99% no leaks, but double-line for insurance. Reliability? 99% Draw strings? 100% Strength? Surprisingly strong against loads of up to 60 pounds, but not invincible. 99% All-in-all, I give these an A grade. Not quite an A but a solid A. One big caveat - these bags are NOT intended for sharp objects, and will likely rip unless you double or triple bag the sharp garbage. Please like this review so more people can see it:)
Just as good as Hefty for less cost. However, when I pull the ties too hard they snap off so I’ve learned to be more ginger with the ties. I’m doing a DIY home repair and a move…these are fabulous for the cleaning and the moving process. But…I don’t buy anything less than .09 mil and 1 or 2 of 3 mil are denser, but the .09 mil is enough for kitchen trash and the like!
Walmarts Great Value kitchen trash bags are the only brand that I buy because they are just as good as all of the other name brands except the price. Walmarts Great Value brand kitchen trash bags cost much less and I like saving money anytime I can.
Awesome trash bags. Sturdy, dependable, no leaking or tearing. I bought Home Depot bags for years because I thought all other bags leaked. I made a special trip to that store and paid two times more than I pay for these bags that are officially better quality now than the Home Depot bags that have gotten so thin and cheap.. that is why I began shopping around and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of these bags. You will be amazed at the comparison to expensive trash bags.
I really like these trash bags because they cinch up tight, they are wide enough to fit my kitchen can without having to stretch and risk ripping them, and they are good and strong. I’ve never had one to rip and I like that they don’t have a scent. Too many chemicals are already in my home and I don’t want to add more with my trash bags.
Well, it's kind of hard to get excited about trash bags, but they are necessary. I've purchased the Great Value brand of this item many times, and I'm totally satisfied. No issues with breaking, leaking or other problems, and of course, the Walmart value is built in.
Could not get the thing to work. I need to return it as soon as I figure out how to do it. I already threw the box away when we discovered it won't work.
Slightly smaller in comparison to other brand's , but gets the job done. Just fits over the rim of our tall kitchen trash can. It does not reach the bottom of our can. It still holds all the trash and ties off at the top. Over all a good product. Useful and needed. Gave one star less for size. Hope this helps.
I assume my kitchen garbage container is a standard size. I assume these bags are likewise. So why do these bags, perfectly fine in every other aspect (reliable drawstring, strong plastic), seem an inch or two short? All seems fine at first, but once the container is getting filled, it slips like belt-less trousers. Go figure. That hasn't stopped me from using them, though.
WORST BAGS *EVER*. Do not waste your money. The handles rip off and literally everything tears holes they them. I just tried double bagging and that ripped too. And I’m stuck w 80?! Will most likely just toss but what a waste of money. So disappointed. We love most Great Value products. :(
