[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw is powerful, easy to use, works great on my XMAS farm
I needed something for light duty work around the yard. I won't be felling any trees so this is perfect for me. Economical, lightweight, and battery powered. I've had problems with gas powered chain saws as I don't require frequent use, the carburetors get clogged up and pre-mix oil/gas is a pain. I already had the Greenworks line trimmer so this was a perfect addition. I'll be adding a blower and trimmer to the lineup as well.
I'm 5'4”, weigh 120 (ish), and can easily operate and use this chainsaw. It's perfect for lumps and small trees.
Chainsaw is surprisingly. powerful. I actually cut down a 12 ft tall, 14inch diameter stump. I would definitely recommend this tool for any home owner with trees.
Bought this saw for my wife so that she can clear large limbs from our long driveway when I am not at home. When she saw the size of it she was a little intimidated. After picking it up and using it she no longer feels that way and loves the handling and balance of this saw. When I asked her how she likes it, she says she loves it!
I am a 76 year old woman who still likes to work in my yard. I live outside of town and have lots of trees around my place. My son lives next door and is in charge of my “honey do list”but he still works and he has a very large yard himself. I decided I could trim the trees myself. I didn't want a chainsaw with that pull cord because I can't do that. I bought a battery powered 12 inch saw and I love it. I've trimmed everything I needed too and it was actually fun.
The chain saw is light, quiet, and powerful. It has fewer moving parts and is a lot easier to start. Mine is 14 inches and is great for cutting limbs and smaller branches The battery runs for about 10-15 minutes and recharged in less than an hour. The battery is also interchangeable with their other tools.
The saw is brilliant, I spent 2 afternoons cutting down small trees on my 2 acres and still have half a battery charge left. It is easy to use and safe as it shuts off releasing the trigger. I would recommend battery over gas anyday. I could never start my gas chainsaw, and it needed referbishing from bad gas every season, and had too many safety features making it hard to start. Your saw has been better than its recommendations and write ups. Thank you.
After many searches I found Greenworks as the best of what I was shopping for as well as the best price. My purchase of the Greenworks chainsaw was everything advertised and more. It is well made and great in performance, quality, ease of operation along with the best price. The company responds promptly with any concerns and are very friendly to do business with. I am very happy with my purchase and am making Greenworks my favorite for future tool purchases.
You aren't going to be cutting down giant sequoias with this thing. But for reasonable size projects (3-4" in diameter) it does the trick. Charging time is short and charge duration quite reasonable. Power is quite good for it's size and weight. Easily handled. Bit of a chip collector in the cover and, like a lot of chain saws, dribbles oil. Oil reservoir is a bit hard to judge and is easily overfilled, but it shares that with other kinds of saws. Good purchase as long as you keep in mind its capabilities.
