It use metal cable instead of plastic, so you don't get breakage. It has as much power as my much more expensive gas trimmer. You might want two batteries because it uses a lot of power to make that power. You might want a second battery. The battery does charge quickly. However if you don't want to be waiting for that charge you'll need a second battery because the first one doesn't contain enough power to finish the job on one charge.

I have only tried the blower and trimmer for trial runs. Worked great… we are confident they will perform well when we use them fully.

I don't miss my gas trimmer. I can grab this one and go. No worries about getting it started. The auto line feed works good also. My gas one kept getting tangled and was a hassle.

I was a little apprehensive about buying a battery operated weed trimmer but I didn't want to have to deal with a corded model and I certainly didn't want a gas model being that I live in a subdivision. I did my research and decided on this one and it was at a great price too. Assembly was fairly straightforward and easy, it came with two spools of line. I had a backyard full of waist high weeds with thick stocks... let me tell you I was very surprised at how well this trimmer tackled those weeds. I was able to finish my backyard in no time at all and on one charge with lots of runtime left and it never lost power and it didn't go through much string either. Very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend. Oh, btw... I'm a 60-year-old woman and if I can put it together and use it anyone can.

The products are so well made and are of excellent quality. I highly recommend buying them for quality lawn care.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trimmer is ok, needs a sholder strap otherwise hands go tired very fast, would be nice to know where to attach the handle as it spinns and you cant tighten it fully. Blower works good on dry stuff, fresh cut green grass - good luck, you might run out of battery. I use blower to blow grass of the mower and dust in garage.

I love the Greenworks tools. As a female I found the length of the stringer rod too long to comfortably use. It's very awkward and hard on the wrists. Too heavy for woman. The rod needs to be adjustable to accommodate the average height of a female. Otherwise I would have kept it. My previous model was perfect

I'm a short woman. I did not realize this was not adjustable for length. I tried repeatedly to balance it, without the weight of the battery. It is so long, and I am old--there is no way I can use it without wrecking my back. I LOVE Greenworks, only buy their yard products, but this is a fail. I gave it to my friend. She loves it.
