I have had to take over doing the yard work since my husband took ill. We had an old gas mower that needed replaced and I chose green works. The mower is so easy to use, the batteries are a little heavy, but I am very happy I purchased this one. It is not too heavy, takes no effort at all to push and it's also self propelled . When I'm done I fold it up and store it in the garage. I also purchased a blower, greenworks 60v, and it is also great. I now plan on getting a hedger.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great lawn mower , lots of power and the duel blades work well . .. I did not have self propelled lawn mower before , this one takes all the hard work out of it , makes me want to mow more often : )
I did a lot of searching for a self propelled push mower. Most that I found were out of this world expensive. I was also having trouble finding a mower that was wider than 21 inches. Having the 25 inches (when push mowing) was an important selling point for me. I was in desperate need to get my lawn mowed because my John Deere mower would not start up. Thus, the reason to try not to spend too much money on a "temporary" mower. I hadn't mowed my lawn in a few weeks (I typically mow it every 3-4 days). To make this long story short, I absolutely love this mower. Plenty of power and battery to do an excellent job on 3/4 of an acre. My lawn looks really good (as good as the John Deere mow). Great mulching. Quick charging. I highly recommend this mower. Easy to put together and ready to go after a quick charge. I also love the various propelling speeds. And, the mower is very light to move when shut off. Finally, no more having to re-start the mower every time I stop it to empty the bag, etc.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only used it 3 times but it has better suction than my 8 year old Greenworks 21" lawnmower. It runs great, has the option to run it faster and the dual battery means I have no issues completing the lawn without a battery dying before I'm complete. The dual fast charger is great too. This fall running the lawnmower, leaf blower and weedwhacker having no issues with batteries and getting the job done without waiting for a charge. Great update from my original mower.
I absolutely love this mower. I previously had a 40v, 20" mower and it took 2x 4amh batteries to mow my small yard. This one does the entire yard on only 1x 4amh battery and only uses 3/4 of a charge to do the job. I like that I don't have to use the self-propel feature unless I need/want to to conserve battery power. Many other brands require using the self-propel at all times (if equipped). The only drawback to this mower is the front wheels don't turn left-right relying on the tip and pivot method which is a bit tedious given this mower's weight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm coming from a 21in deck into this 25in. It mows faster, and has extra perks over my old gas mower. I really like that it comes with a dual charger. I'm not a professional mower but the cut quality was good enough for me. The only thing I've noticed was right at the end of my mowing the motor reved up and I'm not sure why. The battery was close to being out so I'm not sure if it was doing some power transfer from battery to battery but something to keep an eye on. I've really enjoyed it though so far.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good power- handled longer and thicker sections of the lawn. Speed control could give a bit more range (like slower speed) to handle even thicker stuff, but I'm not disappointed. One thing to keep in mind is there is no side discharge. You have to either mulch or bag, no other options. I either missed that in the description or it wasn't mentioned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very good lawn mower. Notwithstanding its 25 inch width, it's easy to maneuver. The turbo boost setting does provide a noticeable increase in blade speed, but I can't say I noticed a big difference, especially in its ability to pick up leaves.
Handles well. Folds up nicely. The front end is light especially with a bag. So, you may have to go slow if yard is not flat or when starting motion as self propel will raise the front. More forward battery placement would have changed the center of gravity. I like the wide cut. Ran it once with one battery I noticed a hot electronic smell. Hope that doesnt become a problem.
Don't expect to be able to find parts after warrantee runs out, like the PLASTIC gears, or electric motors, or rear wheel drive assembly. All of that and more are not available from anywhere. Of course you can find batteries, chargers, blades, and wheels, but thats about it. expect 5 to 6 years of life (mine was 5.5 years). My honda lasted me 24 years. Authorized service centers are far and few between and are only for warrantee work. Mine would be a 4 hour total trip to deliver and pickup, if its fixable to begin with. Finding someone who actually fixes these mowers seems impossible. Call Greenworks and you'll find out that nobody really cares to help you fic your mower after a few years. I love the 25 inch mowing width, and the speed. You will need to spend more money on batteries than you think if you have a sizable yard.
