Solid

Anonymous October 27, 2020

The battery works as expected. When paired with a second battery of the same amo hours and voltage, I get over an hour of tough mowing time on my 60V self-propelled mower.

Better then advertised.

Anonymous May 20, 2021

I've bought the 60V mower (came with charger and 60V battery), 2 60V, 5AH batteries and a 60V inverter for camping and will soon order the 60V trimmer and blower pair that comes with battery and charger. I find the products to be excellent. I have a residence in rural Arkansas and a house in Lancaster, PA and as I change all of my gardening and lawn tools to electric/battery I'm definitely sure the neighbors in Lancaster are glad.

Works well

Exxo June 9, 2022

My first battery doesn't run very long anymore, so I finally had enough and got this one. Very glad I did because now I can mow again in one go instead of having to recharge several times. I just hope this one will last longer; it comes with 4 years of warranty, but that doesn't mean much if support never answers your inquiries.

Pro 60V 5.0 Ah HC Battery works well for my mower!

CJ says August 22, 2021

I have 3 of these batteries now! It works well for about an hour max, if the grass isn't too tall or thick or wet. Otherwise, it might be 45 minutes or so. It charges on my single charger in about the same time...45 minutes or so. It certainly makes more sense, so that I don't have to deal with gas cans!

Satisfied with greenworks battery

Russ MA August 13, 2021

Got our first 5.0 Ah battery with the leaf blower over 5 years ago. The batteries lose some charge capability over the years. We use this battery for leaf blowing and lawn mowing and it does a great job. This new battery is even better than the last one.

Greenworks 60V, 5.0 Ah battery

Lightfoot August 13, 2021

I ordered this as a second battery for my Greenworks lawn mower. I can cut my whole yard with one battery, but I wanted a second battery for those days when I want to use the turbo mode and when fall comes around and will have a lot of leaves to mulch. Very good product. Would recommend to other customers who have any Greenworks 60V equipment.

Large battery capacity

Anonymous October 23, 2020

The 5ah greenworks 60V is a beast of a battery. With it's large number of battery cells and watt hour rating, I keep these puppies for my larger amp drawing tools; I have the mower, chainsaw, wet/dry vac, and hybrid pressure washer. Works phenomenally well with weight vs capacity in these tools. Also charging these with solar, can be accomplished with a 1200 watt inverter ;)

Research more before I purchase

Jeanne February 25, 2026

This is my first battery power product which was a snowblower. I didn't know how many batteries it was supposed to use so I purchased two. The snowblower hasn't been running too long and I end up having to manually pulling it back up my driveway into the garage. I person of my age (over 65) it takes a toll out of my and the amount of times I have had to do that and the amount of snow we have had been unreal this year in New England so you guess it I had to snow a lot. So I the machine uses three batteries so I purchased the third battery and received it today so I guess I will find out how it runs with three batteries. I am praying better than what has been going on so far. The batteries are pricey for now keeping its charge but they do charge fast with the charger I purchased with them. This was expensive purchase that I would think about if I could go back in time.

Fine if you have multiple batteries.

Anonymous October 17, 2020

For mowing, unless you have an extremely small yard, you'll need multiple batteries. My property has 1/2 acre of grass. It takes 5 to 6 complete charges to mow it all. I have multiple batteries (all brand new) and split the job up over two days to allow for recharging time. Eventually I'll buy more batteries so I can do it all at once, but I'll need at least six. Also, recharging takes longer than advertised when you factor in the time for the battery to cool down before the charger will charge it. Let it cool before you put it on the charger, because once the charger decides it's too hot, it simply will not start charging it until you take it off, let it cool and put it back. I put the batteries under a fan to cool them quicker. GW says they're introducing a fast charger this month, so hopefully that will speed things up. Tip: When mowing, you might think you're saving battery life by stopping and restarting the motor, for example when moving from the front yard to the back. Don't. Leave it running. The drain during restart is a lot higher than when the motor is just idling. On mine, each time I restart the motor takes another bar off the battery indicator.

Battery arrived dead, would not take a charge and for $250 you'd think it would work
