purchased item for the cruise we took , they are magnets and a hook worked perfect to place on the wall to hang up garments like my wife's dresses and shirts hats bags because storage in the cruise ship are limited. at the end of our cruise we removed from the wall and brought them home.
Took these little hooks on a cruise ship, and they were strong enough to hold most anything I hung on them. The walls in the cabins were metal, so these were so handy to keep stuff organized. Loved having them!

VERY strong magnets! I've got them stuck on my mini-fridge. If the hooks were wider, I could hang my purse on one, I think.

I did not realize when I purchased these that the clips would be so tiny. I don't think they will work for the intended purpose which is to hold a tarp to a metal surface. while the magnets will work, the clips are too small to get a grommet in them.
