My daughter's chose this product for her Christmas gift and she loves it. She's please with the cooking time and the flavor after grilling meals. We give it an A
Great for indoor grilling or making pressed sandwiches. First night used for grilling chicken, then pressed into sandwiches; no need to use multiple pots/pans. Easy to clean. Nice looking enough to keep out on countertop.
After two previous attempts buying a panini maker, I finally found this one. It can open 180 degrees to serve as a mini, indoor grill. It has a temperature control with degrees Fahrenheit which the others didn't have. If your sandwich is large, the top plate can be adjusted to stay parallel to the base for even cooking. Overall it's satisfactory though I have yet used the open, flat grilling feature. I only hope it doesn't get smoky in the house with steaks or hamburgers.
Easy to use. Can cook frozen chicken breasts, nuggets, tacos, sandwiches, veggies, fries and more It's a little messy around it. Food oil mists all around it. Takes alittle time to clean properly. Spatula it comes with for cleaning isn't great. Overall everything cooks amazingly well and to perfection. No need for oil nor sprays.
I bought this for my niece and her family for Christmas, and I thought it looked so nice that I bought one for myself also. She was too polite to tell me that her gift created a huge mess. So when I followed the instructions the first time, sprayed the grill with cooking spray, and put down my frozen Angus beef patties from Walmart, I had the biggest mess imaginable. Grease dripped out the back onto the counter. There was grease everywhere on the griddle, and it is very hard to get all of that out and get it clean. And the little drip container was full of grease. None of that happened the dozens of times I have used my old George Foreman grill, and I sorely wish I had bought a new one of those. I am going to try putting down some parchment paper next time, folded in half so grease cannot drip out the back, and place my burgers inside the parchment. My niece says less fatty items do fairly well, and it does great for sandwiches. And I do like that there is temperature control, which I did not have on the old George Foreman. Overall, the complete jury is still out, which is why I gave it a three. But I definitely would not spend my money on this item again.
Most of all I did not like the amount of smoke that it puts out when grilling chicken breast. They came out delicious though. The instructions did not explain how to float the lid so that was a trying time trying to figure it out once it was heated. Most important issue, after the first use I wiped it down and there were two spots where the nonstick coating was missing. Was thinking about purchasing another one hoping that one was just a bad one but I'm undecided.
The descriptions were not very clear or I miss something. The outside feel flimsy. Another thing I dislike is that the grilled plates doesn't come out for cleaning and if you are like me looking for something that i could prep full breakfast, like some eggs or scrambled eggs you can't because the ridges of the plates won't let you. I already use it, so I guess im stuck with it. WASTE OF MONEY.
This grill is not smokeless. Be sure and open a window when using this thing. It is not easy to clean. I'm keeping because I used it. It works, but wish I would have purchased a grill where the plates come off for easy cleaning.
The expanded version for a double grill takes up too much space. Grill prep and cleanup takes a much longer than any other appliance I have had. ( grill plates cannot be removed for cleaning.)
I use it when I first got it, it seemed to work okay...... but then the cleanup?????? IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN!!!!!!!!! TAKES LONGER TO CLEAN IT THAN IT DOES TO COOK A MEAL!!!!!
