About six months ago, I bought a Hamilton Beach bread maker and baked various types of bread. The instructions didn't include enough recipes, so I bought an Kindle e-book. Since October, we haven't bought any more bread because we can easily bake it ourselves. The resulting bread is healthy, delicious, and doesn't require much effort.
Honestly I did not expect much when I bought this. But we have made 2 loaves and we love them. We bought a kitchenaid digital scale to weigh the ingredients, and we are using recipes from the Bread Dad website. Really like the white bread and 50% wheat bread, 1.5 lb loaf!
As someone who makes bread in the oven and just doesn't have the time anymore, this machine is perfect. It's a bit tricky at first to learn the machine mechanics, but the book is very helpful. I've made 3 standard bread loaves so far and all turned out well. May try other recipes in the future. It's a big machine, so a bit cumbersome. It's worth it for my needs though.
My 20 yo Sunbeam bread-maker finally died. This was the only model in stock locally. Bread has tasted good (own recipe), browned and baked evenly. Can't attest to quality, just purchased recently, we'll see… Pan is very thin quality as is paddle. Not sure how long it will last. But it does work as advertised. (Recipes were nothing special.)
I got this as a Xmas gift 4 oldest son so I can't honestly review it but with his satisfaction he's had with it so far.Still waiting 4 him 2 make me some, lol.But his son loves the bread he's been making %26 this brand has held up to expectations so far. He's new at making bread so he didn't need or want a fancy/expensive one but he loves how he can create his own recipes %26 how much he's going to make at the time without wasting any..He was pretty happy when he opened it %26 I was proud of the brand, hopefully, mainly made in USA, they hide their info so well these days u gotta really dig but I'm trying to support my country with jobs 4 us all.Don't b hatin' on me 4 trying 2 buy USA, other countries do it, too, %26 I do buy from other countries, so we all helping each other.Hopefully, soon, I can write a re irw about the quality taste but that pretty much depends on the baker, as well. We'll c how it holds up to time/use.👍
The bread maker works great, but the instructions must be translated from Chinese. Hard to understand. Only gives you symbols. It takes me 10 minutes to figure the silly thing out. Once I finally get it going, it's a good unit. Simple instructions would be very helpful
Was disappointed. Followed recipe in book it came with for making a 1.5 lb loaf of bread. Made sure settings were right per book. Said time was 2:55 for 1.5 loaf. When finished bread was not completely done. One side was much lighter in color than other. Was also doughy inside. Bread was not good.
This breadmaker receives an F. Made 4 loaves and 1 dough, all of which failed in quality, all fresh ingredients. Digital readout difficult to see and read. Loaf pan bail flimsey and will probably break soon, difficult to pull pan out, paddle too small, knead cycle to short and does not mix dough completely. The best loaf out of 4 was one made with all purpose flour, bread flour barely mixed. All breads were lumpy flour not completely mixed in.
Yes, I got the bread maker. Well, I went to make the bread and pull it out of the maker to handle popped off and I could not get the pen out of the machine. I just did not really care for that because I had to eat my bread out of the pan very disappointed.
3 loafs later and about a hundred dollars later or more, this machine is an awful purchase for anyone. Especially first-time bread makers. Dont buy this as a first-time bread maker. You'll regret it. This machine does not have any buttons that tell you, Menu, or start buttons at all. You are completely lost with that. I had to google this so many different ways to fully understand the way to work this bread machine.. This is not a good starter bread maker for newbies. There are no clear instructions. Believe me! Returning it!
