Hamilton Beach 2-Slice Toaster with Extra-Wide Slots, Toast Boost, and Removable Crumb Tray, Red

My old toaster that I had had for 15 years finally broke down and actually I'm kind of glad because this Hamilton Beach one is so cute and it worked so well. I hope this one lasts for 15 years too thank you.

I purchased this toaster because it was advertised to be cool to the touch. The toaster is cool during and after toasting. It works very good. The design is sleek and moder, and price was affordable. I am happy with my purchase and do recommend it, especially if you have young children.

I like this toaster because the pan bread we eat, fits in the slots perfectly. I don't have to tear off the crusts to make it fit. It doesn't toast evenly on both sides, but that isn't a new issue with toasters, it would seem. I have tried 3 different brands in the last few years and they all appeared to have the same problem.

This is a bare bones toaster. Nothing fancy. It's light weight. The first time I used it, it smell like something was burning. The second time it was fine, maybe breaking it in. I bought it for my rv so I don't have to take my home toaster. It you want one for a family I would spend more money.

This toaster does what it is designed to do,toast a slice of bread.Nothing fancy or Internet connected!

Likes: light wgt; toasts evenly; has button to bring toast up so you can remove easily; cord can be wound around end before storing away. Dislikes: so lightweight I wonder if toaster will last (only used for 2 wks so far).

Bad design. Doesn't toast both sides evenly. Crumbs fall out of the bottom vents. The release button and dial numbers are hard to see. Try another one.

Not a bad deal for the price. It's light but it toasts well. The adjustment feature is good. Nothing too fancy. Don't expect too long of a life expectancy but for the price if I get a year. I am happy.

Got it and plugged it in to test. Pushed plunger down, popped back up, down, up over and over. Would not stay down no matter how hard I tried. Took back. Yes it was plugged in, yes the heaters worked when I held it down. Bought another brand, works fine.

So tired of wasting $$$ on crap. Hamilton Beach, a name that once stood for quality, is now producing junk. This toaster has no heft, no weight, just cheaply thrown together. Both slots toast dark on one side and almost untoasted on the other. The only good parts are the bottom that opens up to get rid of crumbs and there's a nifty Cancel button but that's not enough to make this worth the cost. I did spend a couple of extra bucks on a warranty but why bother? I'd probably end up with another that's just as bad if not worse.
